From the moment we first made enquiries they were impressive in their flexibility and professionalism. The customer service was first class, and both before and after the trek. We wereaccomodated in fantastic hotel, in quiet neighbourhood next to Thamel. The manager Bhairam would come to see us in the hotel each day to ask if he could help us with anything. We were able to make the most of our time in Kathmandu when Nepal Hiking took us on various tours to see all of the cultural highlights of the city. Bhairam also took me to a tailor and assisted me to have an excellent suit made for a very good price. The trek was fantastic, and our guide and porter were more like companions. The guide spoke excellent English, and tried his utmost to help us enjoy every moment of the trail. The porter was, likewise, eager to help us at all times. The professionalism and experience of the Nepal Hiking staff was clearly evident at all stages of our trip. Many other groups commented on the noticeable higher standard of our guide. The acommodation we stayed in was always amongst the best available at any location. The food was always superb, even if the only dish available was dhal bhat. Our guide himself cooked some special dishes on occasion, if there was a festival. I enjoyed every moment of my four weeks with the Nepal Hiking team. I am already planning my next visit to trek with them on the less explored trail to Makalu. This is a superb company to travel with. They were also the cheapest with respect to having the most time on the trail, spent in the higher reaches. If I could buy shares in this great little business I would.

We were a group of just two with a guide and a porter, most other companies wouldn't accommodate a group of just two people and the only other one that did was double the price so we were very happy to go without a big group, going at our own pace with no internal politics, I did a lot of research and wanted to use a Nepalese company which is eco conscious and a good price, Nepal Hiking fulfilled all criteria and were friendly and accommodating from our first communication. I was recommended to organise the trip cheaper from Kathmandu but I'm glad I didn't, many other groups we met that did this commented on how friendly and helpful our guide Gakul was, his english was much better than most other guides and he would give us a detailed briefing every night on what to expect the next day, which other groups with different companies didn't have. I think another big factor was that our guide and porter, Vim, felt like friends in no time, we would play cards and drink and joke together whereas other guides didn't interact that much and were a bit distant from their groups. Gakul would always negotiate the best accommodation he could in any village we were in and would always ask us to check we were happy with them before accepting, other groups were just put in the cheapest places without any input. Any questions we had about the local culture, were always greeted and answered well and any requests to try local delicacy's were organised. He was very conscious of our health the whole way and always reminding us to go slow, especially at high altitudes, when we got to Lhonak and other groups were experiencing altitude sickness he got a mobile BPM meter out and checked our heart rates were at the correct level. Our porter Vim was a machine, I still can't believe his strength, he was always fastest and was carrying between 25-30kg the whole way, although his english wasn't very good we still laughed together and was always friendly. The hotel in Kathmandu was amazing as were our tours of the old parts of the city, all our transfers and flights were smooth and they were always conscious of our needs the whole way. We were even treated to a lovely meal in Kathmandu after our trip with another group, our guide Gakul and Bhairam, one of the owners, at a restaurant with traditional Nepalese dancing for no extra charge. All in all it was an amazing trip and I feel so lucky to have found Nepal Hiking, I would recommend them highly to anyone and very much hope to use them again in the future.
Everything was very very good organised. We will go tracking with Nepal Hiking again.

The hotels we stayed were Good as well as it had nice comforter as blanket and private bathroom....BUT our first night of the trek We GOT ROBBED while asleep and all our day hiking bags were stole with our money, credit card and passport. Fortunately, the burglar dumped the contents of the hiking bag somewhere outside the hotel and they got their credit cards and passports back. They took their money only. Unfortunately for me they took everything. The window of.the room was not secured as it can open from the outside (police showed us how easy it opened.). It was an unfortunate event and we did complete the peak but headed home 1 day earlier .
I wished our guide/tour warned us that burglary happens in the villages. It was the first time this hotel got robbed. Our tour guide was very apologetic and felt sorry for us. Hopefully next time they should warn the people to really secure their things and make sure all the locks works.
Bhiraim did helped us when we got back to town to helped us with getting a new passport and going to Nepal immigration and police.
We still enjoyed our trip but sad that we did not complete the trek as planned.
Please be careful of your belongings and make sure you hide all your money and passport when you are sleeping.
