  • Days 1-3

    Iceland Exploration

    Southern Greenland

    Visit Narsaq where Viking Erik the Red settled over 1000 years ago and see Nuuk's colorful buildings in Greenland's capital. You'll hear glaciers calving in Evighed Fjord and visit Ilulissat, which means "iceberg" in Inuit. The World Heritage Icefjord here is spectacular. The Sermeq Kujalleq Glacier releases 46 cubic kilometers of ice every year.

    Western Greenland

    Your journey continues to Kangerlussuaq and its ice cap before spending time around Ilulissat's Disko Bay watching enormous icebergs. You'll see the active Eqip Sermia Glacier and visit Sisimiut just north of the Arctic Circle. Look for local crafts made from qiviut (muskox wool) here.
