Communication before the fact was lacking, especially needing cash in local currency for optional excursions. TopDeck should have noted how much we should have for each excursions, per person, or have some credit card based payment system.
Our, along with many of our trip-mates, had expectations on some sort of an itenerary, or recomended order to see attractions in each city, rather than a list (albeit expertly explained and recommended/advised against). After making friends on the trip, we worked around this shortcoming the best we could, but we normally research everything beforehand to have a plan, which we were thought we would get with a bus trip.
We thought we would have more use of the coach bus, needing to rely on public transportation far less than we did, to get from the far-removed hotels to the tourist areas of each city.
Speaking of accommodations, several were very much lacking...Hotel Ibis Garde de lest in Paris was in a very seedy neighborhood, and the room was very small. Hotel Busby in Nice was very dirty and run-down (if you go over to TripAdvisor, you can read just how bad this place was); their staff was rude, and as a tour group, our "included meal" was literally just bread. It was not nearly the only time our tour group was treated as second class people. Hotel Ariele in Florence was slightly less dirty, and run-down, we got a handicapped room.

The majority of the accommodation was shocking as we stayed in camping villages which was located on the outskirts of the city centre. The camping village in Mykonos had bed bugs. We didn't really have much time in the places that we visited. I would say this trip is to get a glimpse of each place visited and then you will have to re-visit the places you like in order to get a more in depth experience.
Mitch was a great tour guide, knowledgeable and very informative. Dario was a fantastic driver. It's unfortunate that the itinerary and accommodation let this tour down. I would not do this tour again.

Mitch was absolutely awesome. For a first time topdecker, he looked after every single one of us.... his wisdom on each of the places we went to was incredible and left us wanting to learn so much more. Mitch was funny and told really bad jokes but made me laugh none the less. I would recommend him to anyone going on the topdeck tours. I will be back!!!

I have always really wanted to travel to these countries and I felt safe and in good hands doing so. I also knew that especially the Scandinavian countries are expensive, so it was really great to get so many meals included, and great meals they were. The biggest 'criticism' that I have is that there really was a lot of driving involved and even though I appreciate there was a lot of distance to cover, it would have been good to have been able to spread out the driving a little bit more - even if it meant making the tour a few days longer because some places did feel rushed and that was a shame. This was definitely the case the further north of Norway that we drove. At one point I felt that we were only driving up there for the sake of getting to Nordkapp, which I know is a highlight, but we didn't do anything else other than drive?! Surely there would have been so nice hikes, even just an hour or so that we could have done to break up the time a bit? But apart from that, I really did enjoy the trip. My highlight has to be Russia and I was pleasantly surprised with Tallinn, which I thought was stunning and a hidden gem within the countries that I have visited.
