About me:One of my fondest Brazilian travel memories would have to be my road trip up the coast of Bahia, in the North East of the country, in the summer time. This trip was made up of eating delicious Brazilian food with the warm and inviting locals, surfing in crystal clear water on the reefs that in the coast, attempting to climb a coconut tree and opening it with my bare hands, taking walks through the very-much alive tropical rain forest and ending up at white sand beaches without a person in sight, drinking our national drink caipirinhas along the way. It was a very nice escape from the big cities. This trip gave me a deeper appreciation of how amazing my country is and how large it is. It was a great combination of having time to myself with nature and enjoying the country with people I had just met. As cliché as it might sound: It’s not just the destination you travel to, it’s not just the destination you travel to, it’s who you experience it with that is just as special. As we say in Brazil, the trip was ‘Tudo Beleza’ which means ‘everything is good’.
