The incredibly knowledgeable tour guide that we had for both weeks was a great addition to the group. I have made life long friends through this program and want to personally thank Phy and Bamboo for giving me the opportunity to travel and experience this world.

I went on this trip and was very satisfied with the experience! Our guide knew the area and was constantly keeping us engaged after the daily work was complete. We were constantly exposed to the local…I went on this trip and was very satisfied with the experience! We were constantly exposed to the local nightlife and were provided a safe, yet immersive environment to visit and interact with locals. Not being around other tourists was refreshing and welcome instead of the usual tourist trap areas. In addition, the volunteer work provided was rewarding and challenging knowing that the long term effects on the community would leave it better than when we started. Thanks PHY and thanks to bamboo for an amazing incredible experience,definitely recommend this company to everyone around the world.

Both Phy and Heidi were so much fun and amazing guides, i loved both of their chill demeanor. They were both very knowledgeable and everything was so well planned!!! My rating on the transportation was low only due to one bus, cannot even recall which one, but it was so so so uncomfortably hot!!!! we were at the back near the engine i guess, anyway it was brutal, all others were awesome.

I was going to leave my reviews out of 5 but given it was flawless for me, that is pretty pointless. Transportation, Lodging, Food, Communication were all A+. My (main) guides were Chira (Doo), Tristy…I was going to leave my reviews out of 5 but given it was flawless for me, that is pretty pointless. Transportation, Lodging, Food, Communication were all A+. My (main) guides were Chira (Doo), Tristyn, Gunn, and P (Phy). The guides were more than happy to help in any way possible and really became my best friends on the trip. They went out of their way for us and planned activities when we had a day off. I couldn't ask anything more of them. The journey we had was exactly what I expected, and so much more, too. Truly an amazing time. Thank you P for being my long lost brother and showing us so much of Siem Reap. Thank you Tristyn for saving my butt when I wanted to go get a tattoo ;) Thank you Chira for finding my Skyroam when I left it on the bus on Day 1. Lol. Thank you Gunn for just being the coolest dude and driving us all over the place safety. Much appreciated, I love you all. I'll be back to Thailand + Cambodia soon enough. - Kyle Armour

TBH i was a little tentative being the only man amongst 16 women. But by the end of it, dare i say, it was life changing. I won't bother reviewing hotels because this trip wasn't about what the bed …TBH i was a little tentative being the only man amongst 16 women. But by the end of it, dare i say, it was life changing. I won't bother reviewing hotels because this trip wasn't about what the bed was like or if if the meals were adequate (and all were great BTW) But i do want to praise or tour guide Phy. Now I've had a tour before where his knowledge of the places we went to was amazing..but you know what, he bored me to tears with his monotone voice and endless talking. I was so grateful Phy was not like that. He was knowledgeable, but concise and no waffle. What made me have a man crush on him was his energy. The man is a karaoke king, he was entertaining to the max. These tours aren't about sitting on a bus listening to a guide talking on a microphone about nothing relevant...it's about a journey of self discovery. I couldn't ask for a better wingman to do it with with all these women. Never lose him.
I also wanted to shout out to Heidi. I spent less time with her but again, a vivacious, beautiful soul..getting inked on the hotel in Surin with her (and many others) present, was a highlight.
Also Aom, Phan (loved her smile) , David and Elisha...you're all part of it, i love you all.
On a side note, if Holly Lobardo ever wants a job as a guide with your organization, hire that girl (she was a volunteer ) Id do the job myself, but I'd be on bed by 9pm every night.

I was on the feb 10th tour and phy Adams was my guide.my experience was life changing and so much better than I could have ever imagined. Phy was truly amazing he was fun, caring and gave 100% to make…I was on the feb 10th tour and phy Adams was my guide.my experience was life changing and so much better than I could have ever imagined. Phy was truly amazing he was fun, caring and gave 100% to make sure our experience was awesome. I saw him deal with some extremely difficult situations and never lost his cool once. He made sure that everyone was home safe. He organized dinners every night and fun activities for us when we were done our volunteering for the day. He would sing to us on the long bus rides. He collected monies from us that we wanted to donate and went to the market to negotiate the best price on supplies to bring back to the school. We had one person who over drank on 2 occasions and he carried her to her room where she started to be abusive to him. Even in this situation he remained calm and his focus was on her safety. Hiedi was also amazing. She was organized and made sure our time was used to help where needed and still keeping it fun. She arranged tattoos for those of us who wanted them. Ravi was passionate about the great work at the school. He just dove in and worked along side us and was very patient when giving us direction whether it was teaching or building. I feel that the common denominator between all three were their compassion and desire to make a difference while being amazing embassidors for bamboo. My experience with bamboo was nothing short of amazing! I read the reviews, researched it...was a bit worried about the legitimacy. I want to let any one considering it....Do it! I was a solo woman go…My experience with bamboo was nothing short of amazing! I read the reviews, researched it...was a bit worried about the legitimacy. I want to let any one considering it....Do it! I was a solo woman going on the trip wanting an eye opening experience in a safe setting. Our guide, Phy was amazing!!! Always arranged plans and safe travels. He made sure that we weren't just a volunteer group...he made sure we became family. A personality to die for and an organization that truly has amazed me from every single step of the way! I highly recommend this volunteer group. I now have so many new friends to visit around the world!

What more can you ask for when you've got an entertaining and knowledgeable tour guide with a big heart. Phy is passionate in what he does and puts in the effort to make sure everyone has a great time…What more can you ask for when you've got an entertaining and knowledgeable tour guide with a big heart. Phy is passionate in what he does and puts in the effort to make sure everyone has a great time. He puts in the effort to caters for everyone's needs, whether it be recommending the best place to get a massage, showing us where to party at night or simply just singing songs we would request for him to sing.
He has the ability and inborn talent to bring everyone together. The past 2 weeks has been a jam packed adventure full of laughter, learnings, singing, dancing and so much more. I came into the group not knowing anybody, and now I have people from all over the globe who I would consider family.

Elisha's preparedness, proficiency of the respective places and cultures, responsi…I went on a 2 week Thailand and Cambodia tour with Elisha and Phy and it was honestly THE best experience of my life! Elisha's preparedness, proficiency of the respective places and cultures, responsibility level, and infectiously cheery personality made every moment of the 2 weeks I was there smooth, fun, safe, educational,and fulfilling; and ultimately, it surpassed the high expectations I had prior to leaving. She planned everything head to toe and always knew how to read the people in our group and/or the environment and act appropriately. She also was extremely intuitive - giving us tips and reminders on things that she somehow knew we would be asking for or needing (before we even did!). One of the most impressive things I notices was that Elisha was always cognizant of what would give us the most enrichment and joy out of every place and situation that we were in- and I don't think any of us would have been able to get out of this experience all that we did without her and Phy. She was on call day and night and genuinely went above and beyond to make everyone happy (I think making people happy is in her DNA). She and Phy also made everyone feel special and like family. In fact, I actually extended my trip and went elsewhere on my own- and they still helped me out with any questions I had. Not to mention they really are some of the coolest people anyone could meet- true riots! She, Phy, and Bamboo really give you the experience you are looking for- in every angle. I learned so much from her, Phy, Bamboo, and the experience itself (they really are making a difference) and I can't recommend volunteerism with Bamboo and Elisha enough. The memories I have from that trip-will carry with me throughout my life. It truly was magical.

Spending time in the elephant village was an amazing experience and teaching in a school in Siem Reap was so rewarding. The whole tour wouldn't of been nearly as good if it wasn't for our tour guides. Phy made us feel welcome and was there whenever we needed him (Normally with a beer :p) He was a good guide and great friend who always had a smile on his face. Would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience travelling a different way to normal.
