Elisha was a fun and jolly person and managed quite well the varying demands of people in the group. The tour also included a number of wonderful surprises like visit to hummingbird garden, forest with monkeys, river with crocs. Elisha was supported by her wonderful team Sofi, Issa, and Yana who were all friendly and assisted with any individual concerns. Another great tour❤️❤️❤️

She is full of life and always up for something new. First night was a great welcome in KohSan Road making all our group feel like a family. The adventures continued to washing Elephants in the river, we kayaked along the village river banks and continued into Cambodia to be amazed with Ankor Wat. Elisha had boundless energy building a library in a small school in Cambodia. Her warm, friendship and energy was present everyday. I would highly reccommend Elisha as an amazing tour guide.

Elisha was an excellent guide filled with knowledge, laughter, love for the countries and the people and was filled with bounds of energy. Elisha guided us through elephant adventures and bathing them in the river to kayaking, trekking through Ankor Wat then building a library in a rural Cambodian village. Elisha took time to care for everyone of her tour members getting all involved in the adventure activities and was always available to help out in any situation.. We would highly recommend Elisha as your guide with Bamboo an amazing company.

Upon my arrival to Chaing Mai I had a horrible ear infection from flying f…My experience was absolutely wonderful! Both of my tour guides were valuable and extremely helpful during my trip and after!
Upon my arrival to Chaing Mai I had a horrible ear infection from flying for 3 days and I touched down and was greeted by two welcoming smiles and a bamboo sign.
I mentioned my issue to them and Elisha took me to a clinic. There I was seen by a doctor and I got like 4 different medications all in one stop!
This trip was not what I expected at all!
I learned so much and experienced things that I'd never would have if didn't book this bamboo tour!
I was very lucky to have 2 very knowledgable assets of Bamboo!
Even though Jane was just training she was quite helpful in navigating around places and she actually had a map! Lol at times she told me where we were when no one else really knew.
I feel super lucky to have had Elisha as my tour guide because I feel that she has reached touring at a level of mastery! She knows exactly what's going on and she also knows how to lead and control her group while keeping a fun upbeat environment! She's an excellent listener and she's very approchable when it comes to sensitive subjects like travelers diarrhea and other things.
One other attribute that she showed was PATIENCE!
I left Thailand with a better perception of the world and I have a new respect for people and cultural "taboos"
Elephants and 2 Islands was a life changing experience. There were so many laughs and some tears but all in all it was an A++ expérience.
I'll probably sign up for 2 other tours with Bamboo. One for Costa Rica and one for Vietnam.
Excited to see what the Costa Rica trip will be like given that Elisha a tour guide that's at a mastery level is helping develop that tour!!!
Also very excited to see what the Vietnam tour will be like, given that Jane is a native and has the means to truly give a natives take on the highlights of Vietnam. I say this beacause I went to the night market with Couga a tour guide we met on one of destinations in southern Thailand and she gave me the real taste of Thailand walking with her and trying foods.
I actually knew what I was eating and I was able to try new and astonishing things! Like raw shrimp and chicken feet!
Very happy I booked this tour the best money I've ever spent.

Not only is she an amazing tour guide, she takes the extra time and effort to spend time with everyone and become their friend. She always goes the extra mile to make sure you're comfortable, knowledgeable about where we are and what we're doing and to make sure you have the best experience she can provide. 100% would recommend her and wish I could drag her along to every country I want to visit while traveling with bamboo. I am so thankful Elisha was with us, she was incredibly kind, empathetic and understanding with all of us, taking all of our needs into consideration. She was also really great making sure everyone had a great time on during the various active activities we did - zip lining, patrolling the beach for turtle eggs, and hiking, just to name a few. Elisha made sure that everyone had a great experience and I am very happy she was out tour guide!

I was a single female traveling alone for the first time and met up with Elisha the moment I landed. She has great energy and made me feel welcomed. This tour was incredible because you had the best of both worlds. We experienced the back roads and local markets as well as the tourist hot spots. It was great being able to visit all the projects that our money was helping go towards: elephants, marine conservation and schools. Accomodation varies but it contributed to the great experience. I felt safe and had fun the entire time i was there. I would go back in a heart beat

We also had a problem with severe sickness with one of our tour group and she and Meaww were fabulous at helping her get the treatment she needed and communicating to the rest of us re the delay!

Elisha was always happy and smiling even when she didn't feel like it. We went out in the evenings looking and for turtles and their eggs and found loads putting the eggs into a nursery and letting them all go to the sea when they hatched out. I went with Elisha on a very late turtle hunt. The accommodation of bunk beds and cold showers was fine for me. I take this all as experience which I have never done before. Elisha was brilliant throughout the tour and her and Steve got us better accommodation with hot showers on the second week of our tour. We stayed with a host family in a coffee plantation and I learnt so much that I neVer knew about how the coffee I drink is harvested and made in this instance by the plantation owner on his own. We did night walks and looked for monkeys and sloths and anything else. Without Elisha and Steve, our driver Andy and Marcos the tour might not have been as good as it was. I would like to go back would love to have Elisha as our tour guide again. I have already booked another tour to Thailand and Cambodia and I hope the Elisha is our tour guide again.

I've been traveling for over 40 years and would mark this trip of one of the top 2 trips I've ever taken. The trip was well planned with plenty of activities, both volunteer and adventure oriented, to keep me entertained. Due to the knowledge of our guides, I felt much more immersed in the local cultures than in my past experiences. As for our guide Elisha, I have only positive reviews. She was extremely accommodating to all tour participates. She provided many fun activities in addition to the itinerary to meet her clients needs. This involved most nights out after her 'official' duties were over. Elisha never lost her cool, continued to answer our many ( sometime repeated) questions. As the oldest on the trip , I was struck by Elisha's maturity and her ability to connect with all her clients regardless of interest or age. Tang and Tee were also so wonderful. They made the clients experience their top priority. They were kind, sweet, and funny and I loved getting to know these wonderful young people. I plan on going on more Bamboo trips, and my guides on this trip is the main reason why - I know I will be in good hands. 500+ stars for the Elephant to Beach Tour!!!

Each day and night was filled with something different new and exciting! Elisha made they even more fun! The only side note I would have was the lack of explanation on the tour itinerary about what to bring. It should be a must to bring your own bathing towel instead of suggested beach towel. I needed to buy two. One at the elephant village and one at the Bamboo house on Samui! Also the travel days are larger than expected. I would have sooo much rather payed extra to fly than ride hour long bus and boat rides. The trip to Bangkok was rough with no A/C 9 hour bus ride. I was not able to experience Bangkok, I would suggest the tour be extended so you can one more day or have a shorter travel time there. Everything else was Spectacular and I can't wait to go back! I will be doing more Bamboo tours in the future! A1 hands down.

We had an amazing two weeks doing many and variable activities in different places. Especially my volunteer work as a teacher in a school on Koh Samui was especially touching and I wish to go back at some point. Our tour in Chiang Mai, the elephant sanctuary, the volunteer work in Koh Samui, Koh Tao and Bangkok, all contributed rendering this trip unforgettable. We swam with the elephants, we became teachers, we saw many temples... we did so many things. And of course, this trip wouldn't have been the same without Elisha. With energy, excitement, and knowledge of Thai culture, she was always by our side and participated in all the activities we did. And not only that, but she also managed to create a very positive atmosphere within the group and in a sense transform a group of strangers into friends. And that I think is an extremely important characteristic for a tour guide. Always smiling, with an impeccable sense of humor, Elisha made every minute of this trip being worth and enjoyable! An amazing experience with an equally amazing tour guide!!!

The Elephant Sanctuary was a life changing experience. My only constructive feedback is in regards to accommodations at the sanctuary. I know it’s a new tour, but it was pretty rough sleeping there for two days which made me feel that it took away from the true magnitude of experience with the elephants. To be honest some of us hardly slept, and couldn’t wait to go to the next spot. On the positive side the staff was great, and cooked us delicious meals.
Accommodations in Koh Samui were also a bit uncomfortable. The house was way too small for the amount of people we had. I think for the people that want to have privacy or willing to pay to stay at hotel near maybe you should provide the group hotel options before we get there.
Transportation was great, no complaints here... the ride to Bangkok was long, but not too bad =)
Now, Koh Tao was probably one of my favorite spots. The islands and accommodations and everything were just perfect. I wish I could have stayed there longer.
The guides, what can I say. The trip would not have been such a success without the amazing guides. Elisha, Lilly and Brad were fun, resourceful and full of passion for their job. They were more than tour guides. They were pretty much like a close friend and family members after touring with them for 2 weeks.
But I just want to express that Elisha “Our Leader” as I call her, was best tour guide we could ask for. She was most knowledgeable, responsible, and non-stop fun throughout the trip. I’m amazed at her patiences dealing with all of us on our crazy nights. If I could rank her from 1 to 5 starts. She would get 5 :)
Again, thanks for everything Bamboo. I would recommend this trip to anyone, and I’ll be booking another trip soon.

We did the Young at Heart - Discover Thailand and we loved the Bamboo experience, we had a great time and the overall trip was a great success! As with anything, there is always room for improvement, …We did the Young at Heart - Discover Thailand and we loved the Bamboo experience, we had a great time and the overall trip was a great success! As with anything, there is always room for improvement, however nothing major in my opinion. The little criticism I have would be regarding the transportation options between destinations (Bangkok - Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai - Bangkok). Perhaps the younger crowd doesn't mind sitting on a bus for 8-12 hours, but for us it was a no-go; it would be good if Bamboo would provide the various options (train/flight) along with approximate costs, so that people could decide early on and avoid any bus tickets being booked if they choose to fly. Some of the accommodations (especially in Chiang Mai) could have been better, but this was addressed with our tour guide and I believe feedback was already provided.
Overall, we had a great time and would definitely recommend this to any of our friends. Thanks again for an unforgettable experience and for all the memories we made!

If a higher position arises than tour leader then she should go for it. She works very hard to fulfill your requirements. She is a go-getter and I hope that Bamboo sees her potential and recuperates her accordingly, because she deserves to be working with a company who appreciates her. Experience will increase her knowledge, but what she doesn't already know - she's quick to source the answers. Maturity will increase her professionalism but for a 24 year old she's well on the way to 95% professionalism which you can't expect more than that. She's a great member of the team, make her employment worthwhile and she'll be a good asset for Bamboo's future.

She is very involved and very approachable which is key in a situation such as this. She made everyone feel very comfortable and the trip to Bangkok wouldn't have been the same without her. I hope to cross paths with her again in the future!

It was a great 14 days, Elisha was awesome, accommodations were good, while we were with the elephants I only have one comment. It would be a whole lot better to cut the Bamboo starting at seven instead of 9 o'clock, heat was brutal. Also painting the wall at 2 o'clock is asking for trouble.
The food was good but more fruit and vegetables would have worked for me,
I must say I really enjoyed Siem Reap.
Hotel was wonderful, staff very friendly
I may have been a little too old to be a great help, the rest of the people worked so very hard
I could have kept up 20 years ago, I did my best. I would certainly recommend to everyone.

She always was there to bend her ear, sort out any issues, she went over and beyond her role as a guide to make sure you were you had or got what you wanted from this trip. I would definitely do this again as long as she was the tour guide.

Wish we would of brought sheets & pillowcase as I had allergy issue with dust and "mattress" is slim, so an air mattress would help in the elephant village. All worth it for the elephant experience! The hotels were fabulous! Really become family with other volunteers. Will definately do another tour with Bamboo!!!

Elisha's preparedness, proficiency of the respective places and cultures, responsi…I went on a 2 week Thailand and Cambodia tour with Elisha and Phy and it was honestly THE best experience of my life! Elisha's preparedness, proficiency of the respective places and cultures, responsibility level, and infectiously cheery personality made every moment of the 2 weeks I was there smooth, fun, safe, educational,and fulfilling; and ultimately, it surpassed the high expectations I had prior to leaving. She planned everything head to toe and always knew how to read the people in our group and/or the environment and act appropriately. She also was extremely intuitive - giving us tips and reminders on things that she somehow knew we would be asking for or needing (before we even did!). One of the most impressive things I notices was that Elisha was always cognizant of what would give us the most enrichment and joy out of every place and situation that we were in- and I don't think any of us would have been able to get out of this experience all that we did without her and Phy. She was on call day and night and genuinely went above and beyond to make everyone happy (I think making people happy is in her DNA). She and Phy also made everyone feel special and like family. In fact, I actually extended my trip and went elsewhere on my own- and they still helped me out with any questions I had. Not to mention they really are some of the coolest people anyone could meet- true riots! She, Phy, and Bamboo really give you the experience you are looking for- in every angle. I learned so much from her, Phy, Bamboo, and the experience itself (they really are making a difference) and I can't recommend volunteerism with Bamboo and Elisha enough. The memories I have from that trip-will carry with me throughout my life. It truly was magical.

Elisha is knowledgeable about the project and shares her experiences freely. I feel I've learned so much in a short space of time.
Overall Elisha and the team have looked after our group extremely well and she has found the perfect balance of keeping us safe and well but also giving us the freedom to explore.
Elisha is an amazing tour good and she is one of the main contributing factors to making this a trip of a lifetime.

From border crossing (a breeze), to arranging transport, to problem solving, to making everything fun, she has a special gift! Even traveling with a bunch of 50+ women (and one great guy)... we all had a blast and enjoyed the volunteering as well as tours, etc. Bamboo is very lucky to have her!!! :)

From riding in tuk-tuk's to swimming with elephants and installing water filters for villages in third world countries. The tour guide makes a world of difference in creating a wonderful trip! ELISHA PETRIE was the tour guide for the trip I went on. She was literally the best. She knew how to read the group and find out what we enjoyed and didn't enjoy so much. She knew how to relate to all age groups, have a good time partying, and being an instructive leader when necessary. She knew how to LOAD 'EM UP, MOVE 'EM OUT, RAW HIDE!! Haha she was an absolute joy to be around and a definite recommendation!!
