We had a ‘difficult’ individual (to say it nicely) on our tour and ended up being removed from group. Pahn was very professional and amazing during that situation prior to us leaving Thailand for Cambodia. I love her and would highly recommend her for your Thailand vacation!!!!!!!

She is very organized. (sometimes on two phones making sure all was in place at our destinations.)

I am 55 years old and have spent a lifetime working with difficult people... (and we can all be difficult at times.) Pahn seemed unphased at airports and other challanging spaces always ready to adjust or modify or flex where she could.
Do not lose this girl!
Accommodations in Bangkok were bad. With rot and mold in the rooms. Poor or no English. They had no obvious desire to help make us comfortable. No elevator meant carrying luggage up and down five flights of steps for most people.
The Golden Mount tour redeemed my opinion of that our stop and city.
Please get us out of those half ton trucks whenever you can! They are dirty and it is hard to breath, hold on, and motion sickness was worse.
Relaxation time, or personal time is good. Increase it a bit.
Before I end. I would like to say thank you to you all behind the scenes. Hard work but hidden from us.

She ensured everything ran smoothly, she created special surprises for us, she always wanted to know where we were to ensure our safely and just genuinely treated us like we were her family. Because of that she is now family to us. Excellent doesn’t even come close to what Pahn is! She is out of this world and anyone who would so lucky to her as an employee. As far as the trip, it was a life changing experience for me. It seems Bamboo has their act together! Bamboo was very organized and all the employees knew what they were doing. I felt very safe any where I went. I saw and did a lot of amazing things. I met the most awesome group of women who have become friends for life. I definitely will use and highly recommend Bamboo ! I love their purpose and ideology. I am so proud of what I was able to accomplish in such a short period of time. We all contributed in making a difference in someone’s life... it was a win, win situation! Thank you Bamboo for existing!

Such an amazing tour guide well informed & truly educated us on life in Thailand, Cambodia & the roll Bamboois playing in making changes in these countries. She made the whole trip fun, exciting educational, fulfilling. I have returned home with memories that make me feel so happy.

Pahn is a legend, and from day one, made our tour amazing! She is knowledgeable, enthusiastic, energetic, caring, kind and very very funny! I have never laughed so much, sweated so much, and probably will never drink so much Chang beer or mojito cocktails ever again!!
One of our tour members was poorly and Pahn went with her to the clinic and stayed with her to make sure she was okay.
She listened to us as a group and changed things within the itinerary to suit us, as well as organizing extra activities for us

The accomodations were decent and transportion good. Being in the elephant village and participating in elephant care was an unbelievable experience. I have new respect for the elephants and the village and what they are trying to accomplish. When we went to Cambodia it was a completely different learning experience teaching children in the village. I sure appreciate what I have, now more than ever.
The tour is a good as the tour guide and I can't say enough about Phan. She is so full of energy, fun, and kept us organized. Phan would gather us together most days and explain what was going to happen. She was always willing to help any way she could, whether an individual or the group. Phan is the best tour guide I have had on any tour, I would give her 10 out of 10. I also enjoyed the other guides Chai and Jip.
I would highly recommend wearebamboo for a different kind of tour where one can learn about the real culture of a country.

I'm a company director and CEO and have probably employed over 300 people and dealt with hundreds and hundreds of company representatives. You have a star in Pahn. She has a difficult job to do - there is no private time when you are with a group 24/7 for two weeks. It is not possible to our on a "company face" for that long, basically the true personality show through.
I have one tiny, tiny criticism. Pahn have us a great Lesson in Thai on our last day in Surin. Give it on day one so that we can use it whilst in thailand, not as we are about to leave.
Otherwise, everything else about Pahn is great, she gets a group to work as a group, she is informative, she gets people involved in cooking, she gets people working. I would say it is always easy to work with a group when things are going well, but she was fantastic at conflict resolution when it happened. It's a hard skill to learn and she was great at it. I have nothing but respect for her - I would say her presence is the key element that made the trip a success.

I would like to say that …I went on the July 7th, 2017 tour, I was a little unsure on what to expect, but this tour has been one of the best things I have ever done. Our tour guides were Pahn and Ae . I would like to say that they helped to make our tour so memorable. Pahn is so passionate about her country, the local people and Bamboo. Her ultimate goal was to make sure that each and every one enjoyed their trip. Both Pahn and Ae were extremely knowledgeable about everything that we did, and any other excursions that we went on. Their depth of knowledge, and willingness to answer all of our questions about the culture, etc. was exceptional.
Pahn helped us bond in a group and the majority of our spare time was spent together with Pahn and Ae. They knew exactly where to take us, we went to the night market, ate street food which is something I would not have done on my own. I never felt unsafe in any of the environments, even going out in downtown Bangkok. Our guides really were looking out for the best interests of the people in our group.
This trip has been life changing. Working with the elephants is something I have wanted to do for a long time and I will never forget. I feel that I have a better understanding of the life style the locals have and feel very humbled that we could be part of it and help in any way we could.
Cambodia was amazing the people were so friendly and welcoming. Teaching in the schools really opened my eyes, the thing that stood out for me was how the children wanted to learn, their love of life and respect for everyone and everything. I fell in love with Cambodia and its people.
The work is hard, but so rewarding and I would do it all again in a heartbeat. I think what Bamboo are doing is amazing and so are their staff. I would like to thank Pahn for everything she did for our group, Bamboo doesn’t know what they have in her, she is amazing.
If you are thinking of going on a trip with Bamboo and are not sure, it will be the best thing you ever do, you won’t regret it.

Our guide was Pahn, for this amazing and fulfilling 2 weeks. Throughout the whole trip Pahn's energy, humour and personality shone. The accommodation at the elephant village was far better than expected, the food was superb, each day held something new to experience, Pahn and Ae kept us fully informed of what was needed and joined in with everything we did. The hotel accommodation was good at all of the trip's locations, especially Karma Hotel in Siem Reap, where nothing was to much trouble. If ever I decide to repeat this type of trip I would want Pahn to be our trip leader, her drive, passion and enthusiasm for the project were second to non, totally recommend both the tour and Pahn to anyone.

Pahn and Navorn were both very knowledgeable. Both spoke English well and were caring for our welfare. The only suggestion I would make is that the work in Cambodia was split into two sessions with s 3 hour break in the middle of the day. In this break, we waited at the school. I would suggest that during this time we could go back to the hotel for a swim or shower which would help freshen is up for the afternoon session.

This trip was truly a unique experience. It was packed with lots of fun, delicious food, great shopping, hard work, eye-opening moments, and some of the most wonderful people I have ever met in my lif…This trip was truly a unique experience. It was packed with lots of fun, delicious food, great shopping, hard work, eye-opening moments, and some of the most wonderful people I have ever met in my life:) Swimming with elephants was pretty cool. So was waking up and seeing elephants wander around in your backyard;) So was visiting the beautiful temples at Angkor Wat. The best part though was getting to live alongside the people and seeing what a day in their lives looks like. It was a humbling experience and makes one realize that sometimes we tend to take for granted all that we have at home. The people we met in Thailand and Cambodia were genuinely happy, respectful, hospitable, and gracious. Seeing the poverty in Cambodia was difficult; however, the people there were some of the richest people I've ever met. It didn't matter how much they had or didn't have. What truly mattered was how big their hearts were. I've always considered myself a humble person and riches don't matter much to me, but now I can walk away even more humbled by this experience. I definitely recommend this trip for anyone who wants to be a part of something where you are making a difference in a community. Your efforts will be appreciated by all and you will walk away a changed person forever:)

You think about your tour lead and especially the people on the tour with you. Once I met the group and especially Pahn all my worries went out the window. Pahn was awesome! She always was professional and made us feel welcomed, appreciated, safe, and cared for. She was an excellent guide and I'm saddened that I had to say bye once the tour was over. I couldn't have asked for a better group of people and better guided! Loved what bamboo offered and will definitely use them again for volunteer projects! I'm already missing my #BamFam!

I must say my adventure started as soon as I met the spicy Pahn & the amazing TT !! They absolutely made my trip an incredible time! The staff had me very prepared before I even arrived in Bangkok for the 2C tour with all the info for airport arrival and addresses I needed, I never had…My trip with Bamboo was absolutely incredible. The staff had me very prepared before I even arrived in Bangkok for the 2C tour with all the info for airport arrival and addresses I needed, I never had a worry about not being able to communicate with anyone from the team. The tour itself was amazing, it was packed with way more activities than I expected, we did something new everyday. We went from doing the work during the day to some of the favourite local markets, restaurants and awesome nightlife.
I will never forget the day we got into the elephant village and the way everyone's faces lit up! Being right in the village with all the locals was so eye opening, everyone was more welcoming then I could have imagined. Its not everyday you can say I stayed somewhere with elephants living in the backyard! I could have cried the day we left, so many memories that will stay with me forever. Seeing the bond between Mahout and elephant was amazing, they are family.
Entering Cambodia was more hectic then I expected but we couldn't have done it without our amazing guides, they took control and made it look easy. Before I came on the tour I didn't do a whole lot of research on Cambodia, all I knew was that it was still classified as a third world country. Well when we got there you would never be able to tell, it was stunning. From the huge hotels to beautiful temples Siem Reap was a buzzing city, I will be going back one day.
The entire week in Cambodia was so fulfilling. The projects were so rewarding and the weather couldn't have been better. Whatever project you decide to do while in Cambodia you wont be disappointed.
The guides we were blessed to have were Kooga and Pahn. This trip would not have been what it was without them. They were a dream team. Kooga was at the airport pickup and I instantly felt comfortable with her, she was so sweet, kind, and I never felt like I couldn't ask her a question. I like to think I have a new friend in her, and already being home I miss her! Pahn was incredible, she was so outgoing and just hilarious. She made everyone in the group feel included and at home, she just had one of those warm personalities you wish was always around. I miss her very much!
My trip with bamboo changed my life and I'm already planning my next tour with them.
So thank you to every single person involved, and I can't wait to see what the company grows into.

First and foremost- it's been the most amazing experience of a lifetime. Right from the start, Pahn , the group leader and Kooga gave me and the group the warmest welcome that assured me I was in great hands.
Pahn was an extremely effective communicator , providing us with wealth of information and advising us on all cultural aspects to follow along the tour with extreme professionalism. She ensured everyone was comfortable and no questions remained unanswered. She managed and organized the group at a high level at all times and we had no issues up to the end.
Kooga was an exceptional complement to Pahn- ensuring all tasks and arrangements were handled. She was the star photographer and her enthusiasm was contagious. As she and Pahn always worked alongside with the volunteers , they never missed to capture special moments through photos and videos ensuring all individuals had their experiences documented and to keep as memories!
There was never a dull moment as the team even as professional as they were, conducted themselves with humor and joy making us instantly feel as part of a family. The group itself was full of amazing people and I feel lucky to have been part of a group that got along so well with such helping hearts.
The volunteering experiences themselves were phenomenal- both at the elephant village and children school in Cambodia. I have never felt so accomplished and proud as I do after these two mere weeks! The tour inspite of being a volunteering focused one has been one of the most organized tour of my travels!
I am in awe, grateful for the bamboo team and my peer group to have taken this journey together and made lasting friendships!

My experience with bamboo most-definitely reached much farther than my original expectations. Yes, I knew that I was going to have the trip of a lifetime, but I did not know that I would meet the most…My experience with bamboo most-definitely reached much farther than my original expectations. Yes, I knew that I was going to have the trip of a lifetime, but I did not know that I would meet the most genuine and wonderful people that I have met in my lifetime. The friends that I made while residing in the elephant village in Surin, left an imprint on my heart that will impact the rest of my life, never have I known such love from people outside of my family. I think of Ae, Pahn, Heidi, May, Gun, Cha Cha, and everyone else I met every day, which keeps them close to my heart. I hope that everyone gets a chance to have an experience on par with the stupendous time that I had in Thailand. I plan on living there part time, if that gives you a clue to how much my boyfriend and I adored it. I am currently going to university for nursing, and hope to apply to bamboo in the future.

It was not love at first sight. I was super apprehensive about being on a group tour. My first time out with a group of people I didn't know. Pahn was there from day one full of energy, super positive, and full of life. She makes everything fun...even cutting and planting bamboo. She made this tour super fun.
What makes her stand or as a guide is that she loves her job, she loves people...she loves life! She brings everyone together and makes each of us feel super comfortable. She is always open to listen to any discomforts or needs.
This experience has been life changing. Not only dId I get to see, bathe, walk, feed elephants, visit beautiful temples, and eat amazing food, I gained a great friend for life.
The whole Bamboo family is just amazing. I would go on this tour again and again just to spend time with the gang. Very recommended, even for seasoned travelers. Giving back while travelling is the best gift you can give yourself. #BamFam4Life

She makes friends with everyone she meets. Transportation was never an issue, if you went off to explore after your day of volunteering it is not hard to find and it is not pricey. Lodging and accommodations were perfect as was all of the food. Be prepared for some rural living in the elephant village, it was a great experience to see how the people and the elephants live. I'm so happy I had Pahn and Sann as my guides. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour.

I thoroughly enjoyed my days teaching in the village under the watchful eye of Pahn. She was a great mentor and was always there to help. Her guidance helped me in making the most out of my time in the school. She brought so much enthusiasm and fun to the various activities we done and was a major part of my volunteer experience. During my time with the elephant project, Pahn was there to give advice and support whenever it was needed. It was an incredible opportunity to help these families with the everyday care of their elephants. To be upclose to such majestic animals was an amazing experience in itself, yet Pahn and all the Bamboo team provided us with the experience of helping these families in protecting these elephants and caring for them in a safe, healthy environment. My volunteering experience with Bamboo was unforgettable.

This trip was everything I never knew I was missing in my life. The guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. Pahn always had a smile on her face. Her spunky personality and genuine care for her job are only a couple traits that made her very approachable and easy to get along with. Pahn was always available to answer our questions and give us more insight onto the reasons why we were doing what we were doing in the village. Highly recommend this tour, the company, and especially Pahn. Kop kun kha Pahn! May we meet again!
