I travelled this time last year to volunteer with the Bamboo project. Our role was to help renovate a local schools on the island of Koh Samui, Thailand. The project itself was very fun and rewarding…I travelled this time last year to volunteer with the Bamboo project. Our role was to help renovate a local schools on the island of Koh Samui, Thailand. The project itself was very fun and rewarding. The team were incredible and maydeliver us feel very welcome. On arrival they took us on a tour in Bangkok and from that moment I knew that the team would be very accommodating. The staff very extremely friendly and would take us out for mealsome amd provide us with anything we needed. We soon became friends and continue up to now a year later to keep in contact!

I was on the very first elephants2islands tour with Ohm and Jay as our guides. This tour was an incredible way to volunteer with elephants in the north of Thailand and then experience the islands in the second part of the trip. It was extremely well rounded and packed with so much opportunity for fun, learning about Thai culture, and opportunities to give back to the communities visited. There is something for everyone offered in this tour and we had a small enough group where we were able to bond very well together with ourselves and with the guides. Ohm always made sure we were comfortable with our surroundings and everything going on, and did a great job of preparing us for the next days events, and answering our questions. She really made sure to take care of us and ensured that we were treated well. I can't even describe the experience you will have if you choose to go on this tour, it is an exceptional way to see the real Thailand without hitting only the tourist spots. You will be shown Thailand by real Thai people who have a passion for their jobs and their country. I experienced things during this tour that I have never done in my life and am so grateful for this opportunity to see and learn more about the world in this unique way. Please consider going on this tour, you will not regret it. It was amazing.

I liked how Ohm always had an idea of how we should teach the students, I felt that she always had thought of everything ahead, making it easy for her to improvise. She was always nice and helpful and she and the rest of the bamboo team always made sure there was vegetarian food for me each lunch. Thank you Ohm for these weeks!!!

I feel very blessed to have been able to work with them

My first visit to Thailand or Asia for that matter has become the adventure of a lifetime. I joined the Young@Heart over 45 with my partner. Being the only male in the group of eight could have been a…My first visit to Thailand or Asia for that matter has become the adventure of a lifetime. I joined the Young@Heart over 45 with my partner. Being the only male in the group of eight could have been awkward however that was not the case at all. Straight from the start in Bangkok we all got along well. Our tour guide Arm was knowledgeable, helpful, funny and willing to go the extra mile. Thanks Arm for staying with me when I needed medical attention while the group travelled on in the capable hands of Ohm. I am happy to call you my friend and I would recommend you to anyone.

Discover Thailand - 14 days of Awesome!
I have just returned home from the 2 week "Discover Thailand 45+" and what a life changing experience it was! It was everything I expected and so so much more. I laughed, I cried (happy tears), I lea…I have just returned home from the 2 week "Discover Thailand 45+" and what a life changing experience it was! It was everything I expected and so so much more. I laughed, I cried (happy tears), I learned so much, met wonderful people and experienced Thailand like I have never experience it before. It made my heart and soul sing to be able to have fun with the kids of the Lahu tribe and have a once in a life time experience with celebrating the Chinese New Year in the village - those people know how to party! That will definitely be a destination I will visit again and will do all I can to assist these wonderful, friendly and hospitable people. Happy tears were shed at the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary - what a moment I have waited for. I will be spreading the word "no more riding" and have promised to return to the Sanctuary to become a Mahout! My kids think I am joking.....to give my time and energy to do what I can to help this unbelievable great cause.
All of the above was personified with the amazing smile of my guide Arm. He made this trip all that it could be and was. He was helpful, informative, organised and showed true leadership skills. His smile is contagious and you just find yourself enjoying every moment with such an amazing human being. Arm is meant to do this job: it shows in his passion in the way that he speaks about the cause and his enthusiasm with every day of the 14 days of the tour.

I just finished the young@heart tour with Bamboo and Arm as our tour guide in Thailand. I have to say that there was not a lot of info available on details of the accomodation etc available before han…I just finished the young@heart tour with Bamboo and Arm as our tour guide in Thailand. I have to say that there was not a lot of info available on details of the accomodation etc available before hand. However I trusted my intuition and booked this trip together with my partner. We did not get disappointed! It had its challenges but there where surprises along the way that surpassed my expectations. We where very well looked after by Arm. He is enthousiastic, passionate and knowledgeable and always a genuine smile on his face. I'd like to say my holiday was not just a holiday but an adventure that has given me an appreciation for Thailand and its people and culture. Thanks Arm (and Ohm) and Bamboo for unforgettable memories.

They do a fantastic job in Surin (the bamboo project) and I feel as though the team should really be acknowledged for all they do! They are wonderful people that work so hard at making every experience perfect!

Teacher Ohm was no exception, Jida was much more than a fantastic teacher but a terrific friend. I will alway remember my wonderful time in Thailand and I will never forget Jida Ohm. She is truly an asset to the bamboo family and I was blessed to know her.
