It felt a bit awkward and a bit bizarre. I would suggest it would be better to start everyone together and have some people leave halfway if you were going to have people joining/leaving, to make it more inclusive. I wouldn't choose to join a group halfway again, unfortunately. Also, it would definitely have been sensible to have group activities arranged for the first day after the new people joined rather than have a free day..
I thought the trip may have had a bit more of a cultural feel, but there were opportunities to get involved in different activities. The tour guide, Lana, was fun, and it wasn't her fault that she had people joining a group half way. The hostels were good and I enjoyed learning about the cities. I think I may have outgrown these types of trips (I'm 35) as I was more interested in the sites than the drinking :) For the money it was a good trip, well organised and the coach was good; the driver drove well. Thank you!

Many thanks to Matt, for driving us safely through out the tour and to Lana, for making it more exciting. To the rest of my new friend who were travelling with me, peace be with you and love you all for being kind to me. Hope to meet you in the future and do it all over again with more fun than ever. Over and out.

The tour was quite good overall.

Itinerary was great, but again could have been improved by allowing a bit more flexibility/giving people more options.
Tour guide was reasonable, she did a perfectly adequate job but didn't really go above and beyond as other tour guides have in the past.
I would rate this tour a 3 out of 5, lots of highlights but also room for improvement.

The tour was fun but the accommodations left a lot to be desired. Hostels don't have to be as bad as some of the ones selected for this trip - e.g. the bed bugs and roaches that we experienced. Hostels don't have to be as bad as some of the ones selected for this trip - e.g. the bed bugs and roaches that we experienced. In addition, most of the hostels were so far out of the city center that getting back and forth was really inconvenient. The food provided was absolutely awful with the exception of a couple of meals. Mystery meat and mushy vegetables were what we got served along with a notable night where a "salad" was served that was literally chopped, soggy iceberg lettuce - not a single other vegetable to be seen. I would also advise not to take this tour if you are like me and not a drinker or heavily into partying as this is encouraged and undertaken more than I realized. I don't regret taking the tour at all and was lucky enough to meet some amazing friends, but I wouldn't book another TopDeck tour based on the poor choices of accommodation/distance to city centers, and lack of time spent in each location.
