The week I was there, we had a mix of weather ranging from hot and sunny with decent little waves to cold, rainy, and very windy which made the conditions challenging. But we all had a good time and there was always something fun to do. I showed up with an mild calf injury and Sam, the owner, was super nice about setting me up with a physio to get treatments while I was there. I surfed anyway and had a great time. A few nights we had group dinners including going up to the pub together to get dinner and another night Sam put on a spread that was delicious - a real Aussie BBQ! Ethan was my guide and was as sweet as could be and had great tips on technique. I had a private room and it was very nice, even had a little fridge and microwave.
