The journey wasn’t easy — I worked hard, completed several certified training programs for tour guides, and did extensive training as a trekking guide to meet international safety and guiding standards. I’m fully licensed by the Department of Tourism, Pakistan, and I specialize in cultural, historical, and adventure tourism across Pakistan and Northern Pakistan. I’m fluent in English, Urdu, and [Wakhi local languages, e.g.], and I’m trained in wilderness first aid and high-altitude safety. It didn't feel like an organized tour (even-though it was perfectly organized) - it felt like a group of friends exploring new places together.
Mr. Azim goes above and beyond to make every single moment extremely pleasant and memorable. He always knew what I wanted and needed even before I did. We ate the best food, stayed at the best hotels, and had amazing stories and photos together.
Mr. Azim is also quite knowledgeable about the whole area since his experience is indeed vast. He knows every peak, every story. I could listen to him for hours telling the history of the Silk Road - every story more enchanting than the previous.
Hunza, as a whole, is very welcoming place - everyone smiles at you. I strongly believe everybody should visit this amazing place with "Gypsy Traces and Tours" agency and Mr. Azim.

We were so privileged to visit Azim’s house in his village, something we were not expecting and felt utterly humbled.
I had some altitude-related symptoms managed by oxygen carried in our vehicle. For me, this was a real lifesaver due to underlying cluster headache and I am so grateful for this.

From the moment I arrived until the day I departed, every detail of the trip was exceptionally well organized. The itinerary ran smoothly, every destination was visited as planned, and I never had to worry about logistics.
One of the biggest questions people ask about traveling to Pakistan—especially as a woman—is whether it’s safe. I can honestly say that I felt completely safe throughout the entire journey. My well-being was always a priority, and the team went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable at every step. Rather than feeling like a client, I felt like I was traveling with family I had known my whole life.
Pakistan itself exceeded every expectation. The landscapes are breathtaking, the people are incredibly kind and welcoming, the food is absolutely delicious, and the UNESCO World Heritage Sites were some of the most spectacular I’ve ever visited. Best of all, many of these incredible places were free from crowds, allowing me to truly appreciate their beauty.
A special thank you to my tour guide, Azim, and to Zahid, the CEO of Gypsy. Their professionalism, hospitality, knowledge, and genuine care made this one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had. They are passionate about sharing the beauty of Pakistan, and it shows in every aspect of the tour.

I saw many places o…The itinerary was comprehensive. It was everything that was advertised and more. A balanced mixture of culture, cuisine, history and religion. I visited villages, towns and cities. I saw many places of historical significance, the highlight of which was Mohenjo Daro, as is to be expected. I was also privileged to see many religious places, such as reverred shrines, and mosques. The museums in Pakistan are full of treasures. Our driver (affectionately referred to as "Captain") kept us safe with his focused and safe driving across different terrains. Last but not the least, my giide Azim was simply fantastic. His attention to detail and knowledge of subject matter across a wide range of topics regarding the places we visited was superbly impressive. It is clear that he loves his country and the subject matter, and his passion shines through. I am grateful for his professionalism.

We visited villages and even spent time with Azim’s parents. This part of Pakistan includes various ethnic groups. If planning a trip to Pakistan - do not miss the north and request Azim for your guide. Highly recommended.

We travelled the whole itinerary with Azim who shared all his knowledge regarding Pakistan. We not only saw all the sites on the itinerary but also learned a lot about the culture. Azim’s English was excellent and he had a deep knowledge of the history and culture. Where appropriate he brought in additional specific site guides. Our hotels were adequate and the best possible to visit all the sites. We can highly recommend Azim and Gypsy tours for your exploratory first trip to Pakistan.
We also want to commend Gypsy Tour and Azim for going way beyond to help us sort out a visa issue over a Muslim holiday.
