Yanna was extremely knowledgeable, outgoing, and someone I honestly consider a friend now. Cuba is an amazing place that I still tell everybody who will listen that they should visit. I hope to return one day and would not hesitate to use this tour again. We saw so many amazing sights, had great food, were able to enjoy a genuinely authentic Cuban experience. THANK YOU, Yanna! And thank you Cuban Adventures for one of the best vacations I’ve ever had.

The trip itself was amazing and I was so grateful to have chosen Intrepid as everything was perfect. The absolute stand out on our trip was our beautiful tour guide, Yanna! She honestly made our trip 20/10. She is fantastic at what she does and has a real passion for Cuba and gave us such an amazing and authentic experience. I can’t wait to go back to Cuba and I can honestly only open we get Yanna again. She’s an absolute asset!!!

One thinks the most wonderful meal she ever had was the restaurant on the way to Vinales. Probably the best vacation ever. And Yanna was central to that.

My 2 adult sons and I went on the 8 day American Tour " This Cuban Life" in January, 2020. They are Cuban Americans and this was our first visit to their father's homeland. Yanna was our tour guide a…My 2 adult sons and I went on the 8 day American Tour " This Cuban Life" in January, 2020. They are Cuban Americans and this was our first visit to their father's homeland. Yanna was our tour guide and Rolando was our coach driver. They were both extremely knowledgeable, fun and helpful to the 9 of us in the tour!
This tour brings you up close and personal with Cubans. This is exactly how I wanted us to experience learning about my husband's country.
We went on the "Support for Cuban People" license that the USA allows us to travel to Cuba legally under. Cuban Adventures takes care of obtaining the license.
We started in Havana and stayed in a casa right on the Malecon (the ocean and castle across the street from us). We had a tour of Old Havana and the artistic neighborhood of Fusterlandia.
The next day we had lunch in Las Terrazas and stayed 2 nights in Vinales. We met a tobacco farmer, had Salsa and cooking lessons.
We then went to Cienfuegos via Bay of Pigs. Cienfuegos is a beautiful town on the ocean!
Our next stop was Trinidad. We stopped in Santa Clara to see Che Guevara's burial site. You will love Trinidad's cobblestone streets! We stopped at the Ignaza Sugar Mill and climbed the tower.
We ended back in Havana and stayed in Old Havana.
You will love staying in the casas. Either the owners or employees will serve breakfast. You will have eggs, juice, coffee, toast, and maybe cheese /meat. It was so much fun to get to meet these great people! They are anxious to help make your stay comfortable. Each casa is air conditioned, has a nice shower, soap and usually a hair dryer. Electric is fine as long as you don't have 3 prongs. I was pleasantly surprise dat how well maintained they are. They are not 5 star hotels, but you don't need that. You will be safe and they are clean! I think it was much better than staying at a hotel when you can get up close and personal with the native people.
You will need to carry all cash that you need with you. Don't be concerned. We were there 12 days and didn't have an issue at all. We were out at night as well.
I would take the Santeria Religion tour that Havana Urban Adventures has. It was very educational and interesting to learn about a different religion that only Cuba has.
Don't hesitate to book this tour. They are a fantastic company and take care of you the minute you book your tour. Lalani and Sarah are located in Los Angeles for any of your questions.
This is an Australian company, but you pay with US dollars! We feel so blessed to have found Cuban Adventures, Yanna and Rolando!

The tour itself was well planned to show a variety of cultural, business & historical points. The bus was clean, very comfortable & well air conditioned. Our tour guide, Yanna was a gem; she had in-depth knowledge of her country, excellent language skills & many contacts along the routes with additional information. Yanna was friendly, professional, knowledgeable & fun! I would try hard to get on Yanna’s tour!!

She made our tour, and we learnt so much from her about Cuba and it’s wonderful people. Cubas rich history and stunning country are a highlight of our world travels. Even now 4 years later we are still in contact with Yanna from Australia. Anyone travelling to Cuba should book on a tour with Yanna as their guide.You won’t regret it.

Our fellow travelers were also terrific — great people, all very excited to be in Cuba. We had great espeit de corps, part of which was produced by our enthusiastic guide, Yanna. We were also so impressed and happy to have had this great life-changing experience with Cuba Adventures!
