Felucca Odyssey (5 & 4 Star Hotels)

Had a blast but I was being mislead on pricing from Travel Talk and also the Hot Air Ballon Company, paid $35 extra from the revised price which was already $30 extra due to increases.
I wanted to go elsewhere for food one day and was told I couldn't leave, it may be a tour but I can leave if I want to as long as I return by the designated time. This was finally "allowed".
Aswan and Luxor accommodation was fantastic. Felucca was an experience but never again, unless with actual friends or family maybe.
Tour guide was good expect when telling me I couldn't leave. More time needed in Karnak. 30 minutes I felt was not enough and I rushed through to get back to bus in time.
Don't get me wrong, I had a great time and love Egypt but tour was not perfect by any means.
I also was told I could have an airport transfer at the end but not told it had to be from a particular hotel. I had booked my own for an extra night but not told this was a problem until the day the tour had ended and I thought I should query it. Good thing I wasn't waiting

I'm a little late on reviewing, but we went on the tour this past October. Adham was the guide and was amazing. I have celiac disease and Egypt is not a super celiac friendly country, plus the tour do…I'm a little late on reviewing, but we went on the tour this past October. Adham was the guide and was amazing. I have celiac disease and Egypt is not a super celiac friendly country, plus the tour does not have a gluten free option, BUT I still made the tour operator aware and Adham was super helpful in finding and ordering foods for me. I'm happy to say I didn't have any type of digestive issues (from gluten) while on tour.
The tour itself goes over so many things and involves quite a lot of travel (about 10 hours one way down the Nile in a bus, plus a few more hours the next day and then 10 hours back up to Cairo) The bus was comfortable enough and we did make pit stops along the way. It's a lot but I don't regret doing it. You really must put in the travel hours if you want to see everything.
The extra costs are outlined a bit on the website and then more so in person on the welcome meeting (expect to put money aside in order to get into the attractions). My only other note was that there is an option to take a donkey ride (which is about 2 minutes long) kind of over by Valley of the kings. The donkeys are skinny and look so tired. I get that the locals probably make money off of offering this donkey ride and that donkeys can hold up excess weight to a certain extent BUT if you look like you are bigger than the donkey maybe consider not doing the ride... about half of our group did and some of them should have sat it out instead.
Overall the tour is great, it's worthwhile to see the sites and learn the history of the country, the value is good, the hotels could have had better wifi connections/offerings but overall we were happy to be there and felt safe and content on the tour.

Overall an outstanding experience in Egypt. Our guide Adham went above and beyond to look after our group, and spent much of his own time explaining everything Egypt to us. This tour is a lovely blend…Overall an outstanding experience in Egypt. Our guide Adham went above and beyond to look after our group, and spent much of his own time explaining everything Egypt to us. This tour is a lovely blend of a cultural experience whilst still feel safe & having the creature comforts of nice hotels most nights. At no point did I (female traveller) feel unsafe & I would say my experience in Egypt exceeded my expectations. My only critique is the dining experience on the first night was less than desirable (very western feeling buffet packed to the brim with tourists singing the Macarena) but this was redeemed by the entertainment. If similar bellydancing entertainment could be found elsewhere I would encourage travel talk to look at another more authentic venue.

The trip itself was packed with activities and travel, super early starts and long journeys - which would have been ok if the group had been informed accordingly.

I'm glad travel talk tours get me an exception but really this tour is for everyone dont discriminate on age maybe up to 70 without arthritis could go. Guides and drivers very friendly and very safe to go we have Police escort all around Egypt lots of check points but good in a sense for security.

The itinerary was extensive with plenty of opportunities to explore. Hotels and ammenities were five star and the people I met along the way were some of the kindest and most wonderful.
Overall this tour allows you to see many of the sights of Egypt and Jordan. However, keep in mind that you will have multiple 9+ hour drives in Egypt on a cramped bus (sometimes skipping a meal). There are also very large groups which makes it hard for it to be a very personal tour with the tour guide. Overall Adham did a great job and I was happy being a part of his tour group.
The itinerary is awesome and includes everything you could possibly want to see in Egypt and Jordan! The additional costs of entry fees, set lunches, and the local payment do add up quite quickly though and I spent a bit more than anticipated on this tour.
I would recommend it for someone who wants to see Egypt and Jordan on a budget and does not mind the long drive times or large groups!

The itinerary included many of the main historical ancient sites, and our guide Adham was very knowledgeable and informative. It was a rough schedule but definitely worth it as it would have been far more difficult to arrange for transport from place to place independently. The optional hot air balloon ride was incredible and Abu Simbel was the highlight of the tour. I only wish there was a bit more time to wonder around to get a taste of everyday life in Egypt, and I wish they explained a bit more about modern-day Egypt too.
