About me:I am an Australian-born, second generation Italian and I've had a foot in each country and a heart divided between the two for the last few years. I spend the European summers showing young people all the things that I LOVE about Italy, and telling them about the things that drive me crazy but that I love equally. Then I come home to Australia for the winter where I work as a school teacher and a yoga teacher and spend time winding down in my hometown of Cairns. I love people, travel, music, yoga and life.

The trip was overall one of the best experiences of my life. Everyone became so close and a little family for the 12 days of the amazing race adventure. Through highs and lows everyone managed to stay…The trip was overall one of the best experiences of my life. Everyone became so close and a little family for the 12 days of the amazing race adventure. Through highs and lows everyone managed to stay positive and make the trip memorable and so much fun. The add ons where some of the highlights but getting to know everyone and building forever friendships made it so much better. (Plus all the gelato doesn't hurt)

Simply Italy was the first Contiki tour I had taken and it is honestly the best thing I have ever done for myself!! I always wanted to travel around Italy and this was the perfect way to do it, the to…Simply Italy was the first Contiki tour I had taken and it is honestly the best thing I have ever done for myself!! I always wanted to travel around Italy and this was the perfect way to do it, the tour itinerary was my dream tour and having a tour guide who knew Italy. Martina really showed us true Italia and all the best places to go. She always made sure we had fun! Cannot thank Martina and Contiki enough! I know it was my first tour and Martina was my first TM but it will be seriously hard to best this!

Martina Musso, our Trip Manager, was simultaneously our logistics guide, a refreshing and inspirational presence, an unending collection of European knowledge, and a source of encouragement and comfort in unfamiliar places. Martina's joie de vivre is contagious and unites strangers from across the planet and sets them on their way to learning about themselves and the world. My tour of the Mediterranean could not have been as awesome and inspiring without Martina; I have no doubt.

My contiki trip was incredible, primarily due to our tour guide Martina Musso. Her personalizations for each day sheet and map really made a difference. In every place we visited, she listed her top t…My contiki trip was incredible, primarily due to our tour guide Martina Musso. Her personalizations for each day sheet and map really made a difference. In every place we visited, she listed her top things to do that allowed for us to experience places we wouldn't necessarily have known about. For example, I had previously spent a couple months in Rome and didn't think there was much new to see. However, she had some interesting spots to check out on her day sheets that allowed for me to have an amazing time in Rome!
Additionally, due to the busy tourist season in August, one of our hotels was changed from what was originally on the itinerary. Although the accommodations were disappointing as compared to the original plan, she always kept a positive attitude and made sure to make the experience as fun as it could be given the circumstances.
Martina was an incredible TM who ran the trip amazingly while making it incredibly fun the whole time! She made the Mediterranean Escape trip an unforgettable experience that I will cherish forever!
