I originally booked this trip for April 2019, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it had to be rescheduled and ultimately canceled. I'm so glad that I decided to rebook the trip in 2025. The itinerary was well-planned, and I thoroughly enjoyed all the places we visited. However, I wish we could have spent a bit more time in Bruges, Belgium, before returning to London. Our tour guide, Lila, made this trip truly memorable. - LSLaura· August 6th, 2025Terrible area of town in Paris with bedbugs. Awful meals on Day 1 and Day 3. Loooonnnngggggg 12 hour days trapped on a bus that start at 6:15AM and don’t end until 7-8PM at night. There is zero down time, and you are living like a gypsy for a week. You are forced to leave the bus when it stops even if you would prefer to try and sleep. Pros: No driving. Tour is a budget tour that does exactly what it says- it gives you a “taste” of France, Switzerland, Germany, Holland and England. Leader and driver were kind and helpful, and they tried to accommodate when they could. Con’s: Expect motel 6 roadside accommodations that vary widely in quality. Your included meals may not be edible, so plan to forage for your own food. The days on the bus are brutal, and the early mornings were like going to work. If you want to freshen up for dinner, you can’t. We were often so exhausted after a day of sitting on a coach and touring European truck stops that we collapsed. Stops cater to tourists , and goods being sold are often higher priced than they are at home. The upshod: This is a great, cheap way to introduce yourself to Western Europe. You also get what you pay for. It is not a comfortable way to travel and the days on the bus are brutal and a semi subhuman way of existing. We made it fabulous for ourselves on our free days, but I am glad we didn’t have to depend on Expat for our entire experience.Show moreTrip date: July 2025

For the August 24 departure, you'll need to be in London by the 23rd, as the tour will start early on the 24th. While we don't offer pre-tour accommodation or airport transfers, you're welcome to book a nearby hotel on your own. The current meeting points for this tour are: Meeting Point 1: Outside Hotel Novotel at Greenwich station at 06:30 AM. Meeting Point 2: Hotel lobby at Holiday Inn Express, Greenwich at 07:00 AM. Both are located in Greenwich, London, which is not directly near Heathrow Airport. Depending on your arrival airport, you may need to take the train or arrange a transfer to reach the Greenwich area.
