What people love about New Zealand Tours from Auckland
- New Zealand Explorer
I had an amazing time exploring the north island of New Zealand! Tolan was super knowledgeable and so fantastic that I cannot put it into words. The north island had a lot of things to offer and I wish I could stay in some towns longer than others but alas we were on a schedule so you are consistently packing up and moving. As for the south island there wasn't much to see but lots of mountains... The towns are far from each other and the drives are long but if you are more of the exercise and exploring type the south island and definitely for you.

It was a good tour spoilt by the fact that it was NOT as described . It is a 17 Not a 19 day Tour - day 1 you meet the tour guide and fellow travellers, NO tour!. Day 19 you have breakfast - NO tour! The brochure says "1 night comfortable boat" - NO overnight on a boat Age 16- 85 This tour involves hiking definitely not suited to 80 year olds - my fellow travellers were experienced hikers fully equipped for hiking. The tour operator ( Not Tourradar ) was excellent, the tour guide fantastic and my fellow travellers were a delight but I could not keep up with the physical side.
- Journeys: Discover New Zealand National Geographic Journeys
This was an excellent tour with a very knowledgeable guide (Jonno). We only had 6 people on the tour which allowed us to get to know each other very well over the 12 day tour. The tour bus was very clean and our driver/guide kept us entertained during the entire trip. All transportation (bus, flight, train & boat) were well coordinated and we never felt rushed. Our guide always made good suggestions for lunch and dinner and we often ate together as a group. Overall a good experience that I would highly recommend for anyone wanting to see the most of both North and South islands over a 2 weeks period.
