Hi Hariprasad, Thank you for your revie and recommendation. It sounds like we ticked almost every box on your Scotland to do list, which is nice to hear. It is also pleasing that you found Stephens anecdotes and tales of Scottish history to be good, but also laced with humour. Hopefully we will see you the next time you are in Scotland, and that you can get the Stirling Castle box ticked. Kindest regards, Ryan.

Hi Ugne, Thank you for your review and recommendation of our 3 day tour with Stephen. It would appear you had a great time, and that you found Stephen's guiding to be fun and informative, even although you had to put up with his silly music. We try to cram in as mush as possible over the three days. The hope is that people coming to Scotland for a short time can see and hear about as much of Scotland as possible. Hopefully when you come back to Scotland we will see you again. Kindest Regards, Ryan

Thanks for your lengthy feedback regarding a recent 3-Day Isle of Skye, Glenfinnan Viaduct, Inverness & Highlands Tour - we’ve been digesting it for some time! :) I’ll respectfully address some of the issues you raise. As you can see from the hundreds of 5* reviews on this site, and others, this tour is very popular and suits the needs and wishes of thousands of visitors to Scotland who are short of time and wish to see many beautiful and historic locations in a short space of time. In fact, everybody who completed an online Customer Feedback Survey during the very same tour you were on, rated it as EXCELLENT, which is nice! It doesn’t look like you completed this during the tour. This tour style and itinerary clearly wasn’t suited to you and respectively I would suggest it might be an idea for you, in future, to do a little more research prior to your holiday to make sure that the tour itinerary you are booking meets the requirements you have based on the activities you wish to pursue in each destination. For example, had you wished to spend an evening on the Isle of Skye as opposed to Inverness, there are many tour companies offering this option. We spend 2 nights in Inverness, due to the fact more accommodation is available for our guests and also to allow more time on the mainland to explore other areas of Scotland. For example, some other tour companies will not include Culloden Battlefield, Clava, the Highland Folk Museum or Glenfinnan Viaduct in the 3-day tour itinerary, but will spend longer on the Isle of Skye. There is choice out there. Unfortunately you chose to book your own accommodation in Inverness and obviously didn’t like it. Had you booked your accommodation through The Hairy Coo we would have booked you into the city’s newest, and highest rated, hostel. Inverness has a lot of accommodation suppliers (some better than others) and we offer our guests the option of booking through ourselves with our trusted suppliers, or having the freedom to research and book their own. You have berated us for not visiting places such as the Fairy Glen on Skye, yet we do not suggest anywhere in our promotional material that we would. I agree that it is a very nice place, but it is over visited and many local residents do not appreciate even mini-vans or cars driving into it, let alone small coaches. We like to respect their concerns and, as such, visit places with adequate parking provisions. Our 3-Day Isle of Skye, Inverness & Highlands tour has a maximum capacity of 28 on each departure, much the same as most other tour operators in Edinburgh and we use a very modern, comfortable fleet of MAN Midi-coaches. I do not agree with many of your comments regarding the length of, or choice, of stops. However, I do apologise that your time was restricted in Glencoe, we do try to allocate 30 minutes here to enjoy a short walk, however on this occasion your Driver Guide made an earlier stop to see some Highland Cattle at the request of some of his guests and then wanted to make it to the Glenfinnan Viaduct in time to see the Jacobite Steam Train pass over it. Unfortunately on organised public bus tours timekeeping can slip due to traffic conditions or people returning late from stops. Occasionally, some little photo stops may have to be missed and, regardless of your desire to drive around until 9:30pm, we would not expect our Driver Guides to do this after a long day. Travelling by hire car would allow you this freedom. They, and most of our guests, are happy to return to their accommodations at a reasonable time and to enjoy some dinner and down time. All of our Driver Guides speak English, and are Scottish. They give a local perspective of their country and might have regional accents. They all try hard to make sure that guests who are not native English speakers can understand them and that they speak clearly, like tour guides everywhere. We’ll remind your guide of this when discussing the feedback. Thank you for your feedback, some of which was constructive, however it is clearly the case that our tour style is not suited to you. Kind regards,
