This was an unforgettable tour. Our guide Peter Hain takes care to introduce to clients some local traditions and insight into the cultural side of southern Africa. This is done with respect and intercultural understanding built on our guide's travels in Africa and beyond, and on his genuine interest in traditional culture. The tour includes a safari on a private wildlife reserve, include human-reared Lynx and Cheetah, seeing the Gobabis "shanty" township and briefly meeting some of the locals there, and watching a delightful song&dance performance by children from a nearby village in their traditional Batswana and San dress. Whilst accommodation the first night was extremely comfortable in the Uakii Hotel (be ready for a huge multi-course breakfast!), the highlight of the tour is staying the second night in a camp set up next to that of a traditional San ("kalahari bushmen") family. The family showed beautiful warmth and openness to us outsiders, demonstrating for us some of their traditional lifestyle and customs. It is worth noting that Peter Hain prioritises the well-being of the local family, and has started a charity project to get running water to the site. Next time I'm back I'd love to go on the longer tour they sometime do.

This culture tour was increadible. A huge thank you to our guide Peter Hain who made it possible for us to meet to San people. I am 100% satisfied, as this trip was such a real and autenthic experince. Peter-Hain organised this homestay in a way that gave us the true picture on how batswana and bushmen an live. Nothing fake or turisty! I will never forget how these people greeted us with their songs, dances and made us feel increadibly welcome to sit with them around the fire. The camping was increadibly comfortable, with amazing cleaness in the tents (huge bed with freshly washed warm blankets ) and breakfast of wide variety! Thank you for Wild Dog Safaris for supporting this culture trip which contributes for Bushmen and Batswana people to conserve their culture. With their support these people keep their unique traditions and receive financial aid to support their community. 5 star rating! Couldnt wish for anything more!

This tour was fantastic! Spending more than a day with the San-tribe was a mind-opening, once in a life-time experience. The organization has been done very sustainably and is supporting local communities, it is extremely respectful to both us travelers and the locals. The guide was very knowledgable and friendly. The accommodation was tip top. The first night we stayed in a guest house, the second night in a tent, covered by a straw roof and with actual beds inside and 2 blankets + sleeping bag. If you think outside the box and want to experience real cultures, this is the trip for you! Besides the San, we interacted with Batswana and Herero tribes and were warmly welcome as friends everywhere. I can honestly say that this tour immensely boosted my insight into Namibian culture and society. Would do it again anytime!!!

Totally disappointed!! 2 hours with Bushmen and Batswana just 10 min dancing on the road to come back to Windhoek. The rest of the time you are on the road or eating.
