A great whistle-stop tour giving you a flavour of 3 countries. Tour group was small and mixed in ages. Hotels all perfectly adequate except one. Not a tour for those wanting downtime....great for those wanting to see and do a lot. Thoroughly enjoyable

My daughter and I had an amazing time traveling on the Quetzal Highway tour. Everything was well planned and thought out ahead of time. The accommodations were not all in the tourist areas so we got to mingle with the local people. We traveled mostly by private vans/buses with an occasional public bus. Our tour leader Cesar was the best!!! He was very engaged with all of us and made sure he showed us around so we could have the best experience in each location.

Tour was fabulous, everything was organised well and tour guide was very helpful. Some of the places visited could have stayed longer and some places could have been left out or time shortened. The tipping was extreme though, tour guide insisted on tipping everything and everyone, seemed like the tipping was to make things easier for the next tour.

Thank you for your feedback! That part of Central America is particularly addictive and I'm sure you didn't want to leave! We hope to see you on another trip again in the future.

Here we have collected and answered the most frequently asked questions about this tour.

What age range normally goes on this trip, Im aware its for 18+ but wondered if it was generally younger people or not?

This is part of Tucan Travel's "Worldwide Adventures" line which does not have any upper age restriction. With that being said, this particular region does attract the younger adventurous traveller but it really all depends on a tour to tour basis.

What is the recommended luggage for this trip?

Tucan Travel recommends a frameless backpack or a sports type shoulder bag which fits comfortably on your shoulders, as they are less bulky and easier to handle than rigid suitcases or framed backpacks. Suitcases are not suitable for our tours and are not recommended. Tucan Travel takes no responsibility for damage to your luggage while on tour.

What are people saying about TourRadar?

I was able to sort through the various trips until I found a couple I wanted to take. After I booked I misjudged the travel time between when one tour ended and when I had to get to the next one (I didn't realize there were no evening flights where I was). TourRadar was great in connecting me with the tour operator and they were in turn great with helping me change the itinerary so I could do both trips without any extra hassle.
