    1.0 - Bad

Charity the tour guide was flirting with me inappropriately and telling passengers how to spend their money she was calling me babe which is disrespectful also Hamish was smoking in the taxi and accusing me of being a virgin the girls were flirting with every guy and there was German girls who were rude. On the tour the guests on board were arseholes and Charity did not care she does not care about the people and she can go fuck herself she does not care about peoples wellbeing and Hamish likes to bully people. Contiki is bad and married couples have problems.

    2.0 - Rather poor

I can't even condense this enough to explain what went wrong. Contiki literally exploited and scammed 54 people on Wild Western Winter departing 23rd January. The itinerary was COMPLETELY changed and we were not notified. Apparently we were supposed to be emailed and called via phone due to HUGE discrepancies in itinerary and what we paid for. We didn't drive through the OC, we didn't even go to Phoenix, just skipped it completely and went to 'Mesa' instead. There was literally nothing there. Next, they literally (on a tour advertised 3 days AT the Grand Canyon) they put us in Williams, Arizona, a town with no ubers and literally nothing there and only took us to the Grand Canyon for 9 hours. No sunrise or sunsets and absolutely no accommodation AT THE actual Grand Canyon National Park as advertised. This ruined the whole trip and we weren't even told until I asked the tour guide why we were leaving so early and then discovered, yes, we are not staying or doing what we paid for. Apparently it was because of the weather (heard this many times as an excuse for things being changed) but it was a winter tour and all the extras and itinerary were promised and supposedly set in stone and this is what we paid for but didn't receive. In Las Vegas they had us stay so humanly possible far from the strip, literally bordering on suburbia in the back of Nevada. This was 2 miles from where I was chased by someone and the tour guides advice was "walk towards the strip only"... Really Contiki, is this all you can afford? Is this how you treat young people because you think we won't care or something? Almost missed out on activities I booked the tour for because of over cramming. Anyway, onto the last, in San Francisco, as soon as we pulled the bus over to the hotel, our tour guide explains we will be seeing people shooting heroin into their knees. Yay!!! Can't wait. I'm actually happy she warned us, thank you. So there was a security guard out front of the hotel (I wonder why) but he got off at 5pm so following that and even when he was there, was continuous begging for money, urine and faeces in the street (had to step over it soooo many times) and me and my partner were followed by a man who threatened us because we didn't respond to his advances re giving money. Out the window of the whitcomb (SF hotel) I could see the homeless people and junkies lighting their lighters and doing all sorts. It gave all of us the complete wrong impression of San Francisco. We were also supposed to do a tour of Chinatown, we didn't, but we ate there. We didn't cross the golden gate bridge, do a tour of North Beach, Chinatown, Golden Gate Park, Hiaght-Ashbury but we DID visit Fisherman's wharf. That is it. The driver left as soon as we pulled into SF so unsure if this lead to us literally not seeing anything. I did this tour once before 5 years and we did all these things so leads me to believe something did happen in regards to missing things in San Francisco and not stopping through route 66, or driving through the joshua trees. So, so many things we didn't do that were small and would have meant the world. I literally booked this tour for those small things, Phoenix and the Grand Canyon so my heart is broken and I'm genuinely mourning the holiday I could have had. Travel with globus, topdeck, anyone but these guys. Seriously, who sells you a tour and takes you somewhere else, minus all the other stuff.

Highlight of this trip is no doubt Las Vegas!! This place has to be seen to be believed and everything that happens there certainly stays there!!! Another highlight was Yosemite national park. This place is truly magnificent. The tour group was 50 strong and this consisted of approx 30 aussies. I would recommend packing lightly as the clothes are cheap in the US and you are bound to buy heaps of souvenirs

It is too bad there is no 6 or 8 star rating available. 5 isn't really good enough for TourRadar. This enterprise surpasses even the most stringent, high-bar criteria for excellence of customer service. These people are consistently, constantly, on top of your tour itinerary, where you are are in the process, your current status and your situation, they answer the phone on the 2nd or 3rd ring, I'M NOT KIDDING, nd when they pick up they already know who you are, what your tour and status is, and they instantly produce precise answers and solutions to your questions or problems in a matter of seconds. I don't know who the competition is for this outfit but my advice to them is, give up. Go find another line of business. You will never catch up with the platinum customer service these people provide.
