    4.0 - Good

Our group was an eclectic mix of ages and from 6 different countries which made for a fascinating group of travel companions. With all those different arrivals and departures it would normally be a bit of a headache for any guide but the wonderful Olga coped admirably with it all. Olga speaks perfect English and her historical and local knowledge is second to none. Tolerant, patient and always with a ready smile, Olga made our visit to Russia a joy. Cultural tours can, at times, be a bit too formal but this tour was huge fun too - another plus for Olga. On a personal level, I loved the mix of ages and would look for another tour with the same idea, so will be looking at Onthego again in the future.

Amazing Tour ! Seriously we had the best guide ever, Dasha was so so kind & thoughtful to all on our tour, making sure we were always enjoying ourselves, learning and having a great time. The trip had an ideal itinerary, and was a trip that really will be remembered forever.

In August of last year I did a tour with On the Go to Russia. One of the best tours I have ever done. Our tour guide Katya was very informative and very passionate about her country. The tour was packed with exciting things to do and see which gave you a taste of the country yet gave you some freedom to get out and explore what there was to see on your own as well. Some of the absolute highlights of the trip were The Kremlin, Stalin's tomb, The Church of the Spilt Blood (St Petersburg) and St Basils Cathedral. The age group of the tour was quite varied. The ages ranged from 25 up to roughly 50. I recommend doing such a tour because it offers you things to do and places to go that you wouldn't normally see if going by yourself. Russia in particularly is a great place to go with a group as OTG help you to organise your letter of invitation and also your visa which can sometimes be rather difficult to get. Def worth a visit and if doing so, give On the Go, a go!

By far the highlight to the tour is St Petersburg. I would suggest doing this only, but there's always the case of "if you go to Russia, you have to go to Moscow". The best bible to have is a Lonely Planet (or equivalent), and you'll find that you can get around the city relatively easily and at low costs. Make sure you utilise the mini van services (usually 15 roubles per trip, regardless of length), and those can be taken to and from the airport to the metro. Best spots are of course the Hermitage, and the summer palace, but try and get to a number of the older museums (which will normally charge more for tourists) and train up on your Russian to ask for English guides (either human or written). From there, the rest is easy.

I haven't travelled yet but from what I've seen so far I'm extremely happy I have chosen to travel with TourRadar. From my very first enquiry I was impressed. I had been researching a number of companies to find the right tour for us but all the others took their time in replying and I had to ask a number of times for information. The team at TourRadar were always prompt with answering me and very forthcoming with information. The website was easy to use and I was very impressed that it had so much information. What information I couldn't find on the website was quickly given to me once I asked. Would I refer TourRadar to my friends.....I already have! Now I can't wait to travel
