I cant speak highly enough of TREK AMERICA everyone should do one of theses trips growing up, its the best experience you will ever have. from cities to national parks, they have everything. definitely the best way to see USA. if anyone is thnking of doing a trip, i have a website i made of my first trek. feel free to browse: http://trailblazer2007.webs.com/

This review is for those people looking at the reviews trying to decide whether to take a trek america camping trip especially the 9 week epic trips, from what i seen of these reviews alot was learned since our 9 week trip from new york in 1978, i think ours was a one off, firstly you need a good tourleader driver and everyone on the bus has to get along with each other despite differents, on my 1978 9 week trip the tour leader had his money and credit cards stolen and for the last four weeks of the trip we were on a very strict camping budget, after the first five weeks everything went downhill passengers wanted to leave but could not because of budgets and had to stay on all the way back to new york, though by then there were only 5 passengers left, and of course no tour leader or driver who did not get on with one of the english passengers and in a large state park in boston really beat up the driver/tour leader who had to go to hospital for an operation,we were stuck in this state park 4th july long weekend no food no transport and very eventually rushed back to new york a day early. Despite this tragedy i still found this epic journey around some of the greatest attractions of north america one of the best highlights of my life, though this was 37 years ago i wouild say to anyone thinking of going on trek america. Go. Go go you will never regret it barry foster

I really dont know where to start when it comes to my Trek America experience, i was fortunate enough to be able to be part of the trailblazer and i honestly couldnt fault a single thing! Not only did i have the single most greatest experience of my life i was blessed to find my life partner as well, strangely that just happened to be smack bang in the middle of nowhere (Paria Canyon, cowboy ranch). Whilst we were both on seperate treks and from opposite ends of the planet we by chance met here, for that i am eternally grateful to Trek America. I honestly cant speak highly enough of the tour leader Kate P whose professionalism and knowledge made the trip perfect. Thanks Trek America, hope to another trek soon.

This was the absolute trek of a lifetime. There was such a great mix of everything- cities, country and desert, tourist destinations and amazing hikes. I loved the flexibility where you could add a little longer somewhere, or fit in some detours or focus on things the group really wanted to do. Met some truly amazing people and made some lifelong friends, and for someone who is not a camper some of my favourite memories came from being around the campsite- makes for some great stories when you get home! I had such an amazing time and would do it again in a heartbeat, would definitely recommend it to anyone!!

I would honestly recommend this trip to anyone without a shadow of a doubt. I travelled alone and had a fantastic time and made friends for life. Its a great way to see so much of America and touch base with Canada. There is a great balance of city stops and nature/wilderness. There is also hotel stops along the route to get that touch of luxury back, there is also plenty of free time which helps when your travelling with the same people for so long. Book it - you wont regret it :)
