Mt friend and I travelled from Chiang Mai Thailand to Pakse Laos with Stray. We had a wonderfu experience with our first guide Chao. He made travelling very easy and was very friendly and helpful. Our second guide was Onh and we spent the majority of our trip with him. Onh was an amazing guide, extremely friendly, attentive, and was very helpful especially when it came to food selection. Both Onh and Chao made our trip with stray seemless and we are very appreciative of the experience they gave us.

The easiest way to travel through Laos! I had a great time on Stray, we had a great guide, Sonny, who was able to give us so much local information and tell us about the history of Laos which enabled me to learn so much more than I otherwise would have. I made a great bunch of friends with other Stray travellers and we became a tight knit group enjoying meals and drinks together. Stray takes the hassle out of local buses and takes you to sights along the way, making the most of your time. I absolutely loved the homestay in northern laos- it was the highlight of my entire trip! I stayed in the accommodation recommeded by Stray because it was easy and finding a fellow Stray traveller we shared the rooms so it wss cheaper for both of us! It's not a cheap pass but definitely the best way to gain local knowledge, meet people, travel with ease and see everything there is to see in Laos! Loved it!

Relatively quick trip through Laos considering how much you cover. You do a wide range of thingd from boat rides, temples, caves, waterfalls, and homestays. Laos is a beautiful country still relatively undeveloped making it a wonderful place to visit free from hoards of tourists. Stray does a nice job taking you off the beaten path and to really get a rich local experience and the guides are great. The other travellers I met really make the experience worthwhile and ive made some great friendships on the tours. In Laos there arent that many opportunities worth hopping off to use that facility, but its there if you want it, especially maybe in Luang Prabang. Great pverall, highly reccommend.

  9. With its stunning natural scenery, adventurous outdoor activities and reputation for a party scene, it’s no surprise that Vang Vieng is a popular spot for travellers. The tubing experience is more sedate now than in days past, but it’s still a real highlight to float down the river soaking up the beautiful mountain surrounds. Aside from tubing, Vang Vieng offers great rock climbing and kayaking options. We also recommend visiting the Blue Lagoon, one of the best natural swimming holes in Laos. The fun doesn’t stop after an adventure filled day either! This evening, check out one of several international restaurants for a taste of home or head to one of the bars to really get the party started.
