I arrived in Namibia 2 days before the actual safari. I had a long flight from the USA that lasted over 24 hours. the Atlanta to Johannesburg, South Africa portion alone was a 16.5 hour flight My transfers and hotel accommodations were arranged by Christine at Wild Dog Safaris. I wanted to meet Christine to thank her personally for her help. As arranged, the owner of the hotel she booked me in called her over the telephone. She came to the hotel but I told her of my problem. I had lost my IPhone charger and after going to the mall near my hotel, I did not find a charger. Christine not only met me at the hotel. She took me to the biggest mall in Windhoek and found the charger I needed. Prior to the safari, I was apprehensive as I have never slept in a tent or a sleeping bag. When I met the driver/tour guide, Miler, and his assistant, Matthew, I felt more comfortable. They were just as pleasant as could be. There were 14 of us from 9 countries on the tour. We were like one big family. There were two journalists and two sister who were physicians. Some of the women worked for the government of Germany. We got along very well. We helped with the dishwashing and some "housekeeping" although we were nomads. Our group was a mixture of different professionals. We were from 9 different countries but everyone had a good command of English. One lady, Liza, actually worked at Wild Dog Safaris. She helped us when we needed it. We had to pitch our own tents with the help of both Milner and Matthew. I was not too adept at that ( I had never pitched a tent as I have mentioned before) and I always needed their assistance. Milner was very knowledgeable and he had a nice sense of humor. Matthew worked equally hard as he was our chef. He prepared food from scratch three times a day. What a nice treat to all of us. He had special food for the vegetarians. I told him that I was diabetic but I did not need a special diet. Liza was there to assist with food preparation, as well. On our first day, we spotted some antelopes and zebras. We got very excited. On November 11th, the journalist from Brazil had her 31st birthday. We had a special dinner with a birthday cake and a bottle of red wine courtesy of the gentleman from Victoria, Canada. By the third day, we were not as excited in seeing the zebras. We went to the see Cheetahs at a rehabilitation center. One day, we saw a family of elephants when the sun was setting. Then the next day when we were going back to the park for dinner, Milner slammed on the brakes and I thought he had avoided hitting an animal. He spotted something on my side of the bus. There was a big lion sitting by the side of the road. That was so exciting. We had some unexpected change of weather when we got to Swakopmund. The optional activities were cancelled the first day since it was so windy (there was a sandstorm) and it was freezing. We had our last night there and we went out to dinner as a group. We ,also, stayed in a nice hotel in a the town center. I was very impressed with the organization of the staff at Wild Dog Safaris. Although this trip was very challenging to me, it was one of the nicest experience. The staff at Wild Dog Safaris kept me abreast of the progress of my trip (i.e., reservations at the hotel, airport transfers, etc.) Everyone was helpful including the passengers/tourists. I highly recommend this tour and Wild Dog Safaris. You can trust them. I give them 5 stars and more, if I could. Thanks for all your help.

Trip was great. Guide and cook excellent. The vehicle however was not good for game viewing or scenery. We couldn't see forward at all, although there was a window in the cab and in the rear section they didn't align. Side view was limited by window arrangement.

I have just returned from what can only be described as a trip of a lifetime on the 7 Day North with Wild Dog Safaris. Having been apprehensive initially about camping my fears quickly disappeared. The camps that we stayed at throughout the trip were all clean, spacious and had fantastic views. The tents were spacious and easy to both put up and take down. Our guide George and the Assistant Joseph were both incredible. Georges knowledge and passion for Namibia and animals was infectious and Josephs culinary skills left absolutely nobody hungry including both vegetarians and gluten-free clients on my trip, a real credit to the organisation! The game drives through Etosha National Park are most definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity. I was lucky enough to see four of the big five (no buffalo in Etosha) along with giraffes, zebra, rhino and many more. The floodlight waterhole at the second night in Etosha was most definitely one of those experiences I shall never forget. Both the Himba tribe experience as well as the Twyfelfontein trail walk were real eye openers and broke up the time spent in the truck nicely. The trucks have huge windows as well as a roof that you are able to open up to get a view from high on the game trails and considering the amount of miles they do and different terrains were much cleaner and more comfortable than I had expected. Namibia is a fantastic country and using Wild Dog Safaris was most definitely the right decision. I would 100% recommend Wild Dog and I have already started looking at other tours with the tour group. 10/10

I just came back from the Northern Adventure and must say: it was absolutely superb. Elias and Kleo did an amazing job and the scenery was breathtaking. It was not my first trip with Wild Dog and I am sure it won't be my last either.

I've enjoyed this tour since I was very lucky to have the same guide name "Ian" who handled pretty much everything except for the cooking. Ian who did all the driving and still have the sharp eye to identify wildlife during the game drives are remarkable.

We recently returned from a trip to Namibia - we travelled with Wild Dog Dafaris and we were really impressed - they organised everything for us and we had a mix of camping and lodge accommodation. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable and went out of their way to ensure we were having a good time. We went North up to Etosha and also south down to the Dunes - both trips were fantastic - we saw loads of wildlife much more than we expected and the scenery down at the Dunes is just stunning. We haven't camped for years but the equipment was first rate and we enjoyed eating with the group round the campfire, drinking a few beers and sharing our experiences with our fellow travellers. This was our first visit to Namibia and it surpassed all expectations and we are already planning our next visit and camping trip and will definitely book with Wild dogs again - Thanks for such a great Holiday !
