    4.0 - Good

Had a great experience travelling with Tucan Tours through South America, tour was well organised and our tour guide (Neil) was fantastic with great experience and local knowledge. Accommodation was sufficient and appropriate for areas that we travelled through, can obviously be very basic at times if doing the Inca Trail and Bolivian Salt Flats but you are well informed of this if you do your reading/research. Food included at hotels etc was basic but enough, tour guide gave good recommendations fro other meal times including local cuisines . Flight companies used were great, flights were very early in the morning but resulted in you having plenty of time at the next destination. Bus days were few and gave you time to catch up on rest. Companies used were great very comfortable and amenities clean, just make sure you pack snacks as the buses sometimes don't stop. Included activities were great, try and do all the optional activities as these were great aswell! Be prepared for all weather conditions as it can change quickly and travelling through that many countries you will experience everything so pack accordingly. Try and use backpacks rather then suitcases as it makes it easier for everyone as you are constantly on/off flights, buses, boats etc and need to carry everything yourself. Be prepared for altitude sickness and travel sickness and take all appropriate medications for same as they may not be available over there. Be aware it is a full on tour covering vast areas so prepare for late nights and early mornings trying to cover vast areas in a little time frame. Safety wise always felt well prepared and safe from our tour guide who always instructed as accordingly.
