    1.0 - Bad

I have travelled with Dragoman three times the last in May 2017. The first trip was amazing, lots of information and quality accomodation. The second was still good but very much a party bus. It's just your luck of who is on the vehicle at the time and passengers interests. The third trip was a disaster and left me very traumatised. When I joined the vehicle complaints had already been made to Dragoman and more as we went along. Dragoman provided good feedback and we thought things may improve. However the tour guide just got worse threatening to leave passengers behind or throw them off the trip. Information provided was inadequate or simply wrong, the vehicle had constant mechanical problems and when we camped there was not even enough chairs for everyone to sit down at the same time Expensive for what we got and would not use this company again.

Questions & Answers

Here we have collected and answered the most frequently asked questions about this tour.

  • What is the kitty payment?

Dragoman's Kitty for Mexico City to Antigua (from Mexico City to Antigua) is a group fund for this tour. The group fund pays for camping, hotels, food while camping, activities the group does as a whole (based on the itinerary mentioned above and in the brochure).

The Kitty allows the group to be flexible as the hotels and campsites are not pre booked and booked by the crew while travelling which makes the whole itinerary more adabtable than the traditional tours. Sometimes you can stay an extra night at one location due to a special activity happening at the location, based on the groups wishes. All of these costs are paid at cost price and Dragoman makes no money out of it. Therefore, if money is left over in the Kitty after the tour, it will be paid back to the group members.
