Questions & Answers

Here we have collected and answered the most frequently asked questions about this tour.

  • What is the kitty payment?

Dragoman's Kitty for Andes & Amazon between Cartagena and Rio de Janeiro is a group fund for this tour. The group fund pays for camping, hotels, food while camping, activities the group does as a whole (based on the itinerary mentioned above and in the brochure).

The Kitty allows the group to be flexible as the hotels and campsites are not pre booked and booked by the crew while travelling which makes the whole itinerary more adabtable than the traditional tours. Sometimes you can stay an extra night at one location due to a special activity happening at the location, based on the groups wishes. All of these costs are paid at cost price and Dragoman makes no money out of it. Therefore, if money is left over in the Kitty after the tour, it will be paid back to the group members.

  • Marcia9th August 2018
I love Tour Radar. They gave me all the support when I needed contacting the agent themselves to solve my problems while I was on the trip. The response was always quick and I also got the best deals, always cheaper than with the operator. Can't fault it really. Just booked my second trip with them this week.
