- TCTrevorWritten on April 4, 20184.0 - GoodAn amazing experience allowing emersion in the local culture with a real understanding of how Cuba works. Great tour group and CEO (tour guide). Spoilt slightly by the first internal flight being cancelled, which was apparently not the first time. A revised flight-free itinerary would be an improvement.Show detailed ratings
- EmmaWritten on June 13, 20175.0 - ExcellentI went on the Cuba Colonial trip in June 2016. The two week tour. It was a fantastic tour that was so much better than I had expected! We got to see so much of the island, amazing spots that were far less touristy! I would highly recommend G Adventures as a tour provider and the Cuba trip.Show detailed ratings
- SStefanWritten on October 5, 20164.0 - GoodThe trip was good, but not special. It had some really nice parts, some good activities, but I could not name a real highlight. Our tour guide did his best to make it a very good trip for everybody. Accommodations ranged from very good to very poor unfortunately, but most of them were above average.Show detailed ratings
- CPClarissaWritten on June 3, 20165.0 - ExcellentI did the Cuba Colonial tour in May, 2016 and it was above and beyond what I expected. Our tour guide was fantastic and had an exceptional knowledge of Cuba and its history and was able to answer all our questions with ease. He was also very accommodating to our needs and helpful in organizing any extra activities anyone from the group needed. Because it's a basic tour, we stayed in casas for all but one night of the trip. To be honest, these were much better than the single hotel we stayed in. Casa owners were very friendly, all rooms were air-conditioned, clean and the breakfasts were delicious. The only change I'd make to this tour would be to skip the overnight stay in Santa Clara for a night in Cienfuegos, which was a much friendlier, prettier town with so much to offer! Although it's not on the itinerary, the stop at Guantanamo Bay (at no extra cost) was also fantastic. Best parts: Havana (the music, beautiful buildings, old cars), Baracoa (make sure you do the hike through Alejandro de Humboldt National Park) and Trinidad (visit to waterfalls and nights spent dancing and drinking at Casa de la Musica). Worst parts: Overnight stay in Santa Clara - this was nothing to do with G Adventures, more that the people/town weren't very friendly and there was nothing else to see outside the Che Guevara attractions.Show detailed ratings
- SSamanthaWritten on April 20, 20164.0 - GoodAbsolutely amazing!!! Our tour guide and driver were brilliant, I unfortunately was unwell briefly and they looked after me so well. Cuba is a beautiful county with warm friendly people, fun music and dancing and fantastic art and history. Definitely go! I'm starting to plan my next trip back already.Show detailed ratings
- IreneWritten on June 10, 20153.5 - GoodIf I was a vegetarian I would have been given more care! I had to get doctors letters and medications for our travel agent before going to Cuba.I as told to tell the CEO when we met in Havana. The casas were not aware I was a diabetic - the meals there were good-once we told of our needs. That is the experience we wanted when going to Cuba As a group we did not feel included- how many times were there not enough restaurants to keep 15 people together! How many times did the group eat outside the casas??talks on journeys only for selected few! This was not our first visit to Cuba so we were going to see the people from our previous time- one of the main reasons was to see them and their children. Cuba has changed-too much giving tips! Reading emails from other fellow travellers, we wonder were on the same tour. The driver was good and had some roads to negotiate at times! He was always friendly and inclusive. Bayamo would be a better overnight stop, most of the group thought this too. Yes we will be visiting Cuba again but not in a group/tour like this oneShow detailed ratings
- KatiWritten on February 20, 20124.5 - ExcellentAwesome tour!! We had the best CEO, Nadya, such a sweet girl and always willing to help in anything, 10 +++ to her! She wa always there if needed and gave lots of ideas what to do, where etc.. Excellent job!! The tour was like I thought it would be, lots of different interesting places, great group and certainly authentic experience of Cuba, no wonder why it is a top seller. The windows of the bus werent on good condition. When traveling so much in bus it would have been nice to be able to look trough the windows. All casas which I stayed were great but the hotel Plaza in Havana wasnt nice, dirty rooms, not certainly a 4 star hotel as it is, rather 2 stars. Cheers!:-)Show detailed ratings
