    5.0 - Excellent

The companies who ACTUALLY ran this tour - Dragoman and Andina Travel - we're fabulous, truly fabulous. I would recommend both of them ten times over. Intrepid had nothing to do with this tour - which they never mentioned -- and that's where any problem we had originated. 1. Emails to intrepid were a waste of time - because they weren't running the tour they told us to buy and bring things that we didn't end up needing. And their packing list was far too general and unrelated to our trek. 2. They also took a long time to reply, probably because they were communicating with the other two companies. 3. Sometimes we would receive a reply directly from one of the companies and be entirely confused as to why a company we'd never heard of was replying to us. So make of that what you will. Book directly with Dragoman, it'll probably be cheaper too. And if you just want to do a Machu Picchu tour, book with Andina Travel and ask for Jess as your tour guide.
