Haka Tours was born over a decade ago from the dreams of one man who wanted to reimagine how small group adventure tours were run. From the very first tour in June 2007 until now there’s been no looking back, and 12 years on we’re incredibly proud to be regarded as New Zealand’s leading small group adventure operator. As we’ve grown, we’ve stayed true to our core values which remain the key to our success. Ultimately, when you travel with Haka, you’re not travelling with a multinational corporate or a big international brand, but with an authentic, locally-owned business that puts you, the customer, at the centre of everything we do.

Of course, we can! Once you have a confirmed booking on this tour, we can request additional accommodation for you with the tour operator.

    • Do I need a visa?

As a tour booking website, TourRadar cannot organise visas for you on your behalf as the visa requirements are regularly being updated and vary for the nationality of one traveller to the next. It is for this reason that we recommend checking with your local embassy or consulate website for the latest up to date information.

    • When and where does the tour start?

This tour starts at 8 am on the first day of the tour, from the tour operator's very own Haka Lodge in Christchurch (518 Linwood Ave, Woolston, Christchurch 8062). As this tour has such an early start, you can choose to stay in the lodge the night before the tour starts, which gives you a relaxed start to your Haka experience.

    • Do you arrange airport transfers?

Airport transfers can be arranged at an additional cost, please contact our customer support team for more information.

    • I'm a solo traveller, is there a single supplement?

There are some guidelines in regards to luggage. It is advised that passengers only bring a 20kg bag with them (a backpack is preferable) and a small day bag to have with you in the coach.

    • Regarding additional activities, can I book and pay for them during the tour or do I need to book and pay in advance?

You can book activities during the tour or before hand - just inform your tour guide. The availability though isn't gauranteed, so if there are things you definitely want to do, you should pre-book online.
