    2.5 - Average

Everything was average. Breakfast was poor. Despite informing the tour guide that were just going to pick up cards for a tour mate's birthday, he left us during the city tour in HCMC. Tour Guide was always late and didn't show up on the trip from Nha Trang to Hanoi. Generally average service and wouldn't recommend.

The trip was amazing and our guide was knowledgeable about the destinations including history, eateries, nightlife and shopping! Accommodation wasn’t always the best but generally clean with hot showers.

    1.0 - Bad

In December 2016 I was on The Road To Vietnam budget tour, I booked direct with Tucan. It was dreadful for the following reasons (i) tour guide was incompetent, hopeless and useless (ii) accommodation was woeful and dreary (iii) transport was always the cheapest and longest possible option (iv) virtually no inclusions (v) all optional excursions were just a tourist rip-off just to boost Tucan's commission margins. However I had a great holiday as I took it upon myself to find things to do, quickly research options and get out in the locations and do it. The overall attitude of Tucan is "it's a budget tour" and therefore we will give you less than dirt cheap options, absolutely no information, tips or support, use and abuse you until we've gotten every last dollar we could out of you. I would not recommend to anyone Tucan Travel, regardless of how much you pay. The company is taking it's clients for granted, and there is plenty of other offers out there you can chose from.

My trip was epic, tour guide was Luke and he was great really easy to get along with and good at his job. Accommodation was better than I expected to be staying in transportation was good and efficient.
