  1. Introduction
  1. Day 1: Meet the team in Beau Vallon, Seychelles and travel together to Cap Ternay National park
  2. Days 2 - 5: PADI Advanced Open Water dive training commences
  3. Days 6 - 7: Spend the weekend Island hopping on nearby pristine Islands
  4. Days 8 - 12: Start diving up to 2 times a day & learn how to collect valuable data
  5. Days 13 - 14: Go on a hike to Cap Matooka, visit Victoria city, do some recreational diving. The possibilities are endless!
  6. Days 15 - 19: Daily dives continue & join a beach clean
  7. Days 20 - 21: Take part in local water sports or spend the day in Beau Vallon Bay
  8. Days 22 - 27: Diving in the most exquisite dive sites & continue with marine conservation efforts

    • What are the water conditions year round

      Water temperatures: October to December, 27 - 28 degrees Celsius, most people favor a 3mm wetsuit January to May, 28- 30 degrees Celsius, most people favor a 3mm wetsuit or go without June to September 25 - 28 degrees Celsius, will need a 3/5mm long wetsuit
      From August to October it is Whale Shark season and in September through to March it is turtle nesting season and lots of turtles can be seen in the water

    • Are there any PADI requirements for this diving program?

      Must be PADI open water qualified or equivalent for all durations
      A completed PADI Medical form is needed regardless of medical history. Hard copies need to be brought to the field by the volunteer.
      Need to join for 8+ weeks if you want the Rescue Diver or Biological Surveys Add-On (at an additional cost)

    • What are some tips for volunteers travelling out to the field

      Don't pack too many cosmetics you can buy the basics in country Pack an outfit for the weekend in case you decide to go out
      Make sure you bring enough money to visit some of the other islands An underwater case for my camera enabled me to get some amazing photos

    • What are the various durations of this program that are available

      This program runs for anything from 4, 8 and 12 week durations, depending on the time of year and specific starting date. Please inquire for information regarding this

    • Visa
      • Unfortunately we cannot offer you a visa application service. Whether you need a visa or not depends on your nationality and where you wish to travel. Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.
      • Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
    • Payment information
      • For any tour departing before April 28th, 2021 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after April 28th, 2021, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with GVI. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
      • Some departure dates and prices may vary and GVI will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
      • The following cards are accepted for "GVI" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
