This was our first family adventure with Exodus as we normally go without kids.  To be honest I felt that it was not particularly family friendly! What was the most inspirational moment of your trip? The Himalayas were amazing, the trekking bit was great, the cycling good - more would have been good, white water rafting excellent and the Taj Mahal was spectacular.  I also felt that the camel experience and the trip to the school were very disappointing.  We had brought a whole host of things to give to the school which wasn't even open - why couldn't they have organised another one?  The camel farm was also a safety hazard. What did you think of your group leader? To be honest I thought he was very stressed out - however all went according to clockwork but I didn't feel at ease...  He was also not that child friendly - eg I felt he didn't bond with the kids at all, when he played a game of cricket one afternoon he never invited any of the kids to play. Therefore nice enough but he needs to chill out a bit.Do you have any advice for potential travellers?Re the visa - the cost is very expensive and can take a while to do.  If I had of known when booking the cost of the visa we would not have gone to India (>£100 pp).re camping - take a carry mat the ones supplied are not remotely comfortable.re leisure time - make sure you take a book, cards etc there is a lot of free time in places where there is not much to do. Is there anything else you would like to add?A nice touch which isn't advertised is that on the trek they take horses and a donkey - why isn't that advertised - it made our trek.  As it was the low season why didn't we stay in nicer hotels - eg the hotel near the Taj Mahal was very disappointing - I guess when I pay that amount of money I expect a little more...

    5.0 - Excellent

A well organised adventure on a par with a good Disney film - something for everyone young or old ! Variety of activity and experience created an enjoyable and fascinating insight into the enigma that is India without making it too hard for first time visitors to the sub continent What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?Being in a Ladakhi monastery at prayer time and being invited to stay A great privilege The kids vote goes to the White water rafting !What did you think of your group leader?Very good - supportive knowledgeable organised and easy to be with Popular with everyoneDo you have any advice for potential travellers?Take your own mat for camping and hard beds in Ladakh if you're a softie like me The walking is quite demanding because of the altitude and heat of the day Rather than the distance but very achievable for anyone who is reasonably fit The variety will have appeal to most people Is there anything else you would like to add?Give it a go It's a relatively safe and comfortable way to get close to India and experience some of the most breathtaking views, fascinating culture and friendliest people in the world And I'm not one for group holidays!
