Frequently Asked Questions

    • Has altitude sickness prevented hikers from reaching base camp?

The trek allows ample acclimation so we don't really hear of anyone not making it to base camp. We have rest days, we walk high & sleep at lower altitudes to help our bodies adjust. The aim is for you to have an enjoyable experience & not for it to be a race. There is plenty of water provided also & it's really important to be well. All of these things will help.

    • What are the accommodations like?

For this tour there are will be 3 nights in a hotel, 10 nights
in a private eco campsites and 3 nights in an eco lodge.

    • Is this trip available in September?

The operator does not run any treks during the monsoon which lasts from about May to September.
