Monte Carlo, Monaco
Your day focuses on the French Riviera's most glamorous spots, and you'll have several different directions to choose from. Start by deciding between a guided tour of Monte Carlo and the Old Town, where you'll see Prince's Palace Square and the famous Monte Carlo Casino, or head up to Eze, a hilltop village with an Exotic Garden and the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild. If art interests you more, Saint-Paul-de-Vence has galleries worth exploring along the French Riviera coastline. Another option takes you to Grasse where you can visit a perfume factory and create your own scent (around 60 to 90 minutes depending on how involved you get). Later in the evening, there's an optional concert at the Cathedral of Monte Carlo where the Petits Chanteurs Choir of Monaco performs if you want to end the day with some culture and music.

Palma de Mallorca
Your ship docks in Palma from 08:00 to 22:00, giving you the full day to explore on your own terms. The old town itself is worth wandering through, with the Gothic cathedral and Moorish fortress right there in the historic center. If you want to get out of the city, you can hike through Sóller's olive groves and orchards, or head to Valldemossa to check out the monastery and catch the Sunday market if timing works out. Another option is walking through Palma's Jewish quarter and then climbing up to Bellver Castle for views over the city. Early risers can start with oceanview yoga by the Mediterranean before doing anything else. Just give yourself enough time to get back to the ship before it departs at 22:00.

For something different, take a day trip to Jerez de la Frontera where you can do a bodega sherry tasting and guided tour before heading back. Either way, return to the ship in time to relax in the Scenic Lounge Bar. The ship stays docked overnight, so you're not rushed to get back.

Bordeaux
Start your day wandering through Bordeaux's elegant streets and check out the vibrant markets scattered around the city center. You'll want to see Place de la Bourse, where the architecture really stands out, and then head over to Bordeaux Cathedral to walk through the interior. In the morning or early afternoon, stop by the CAPC Museum of Contemporary Art to see what's on display. The Grand Théâtre is nearby and worth seeing from the outside at least, even if you don't catch a performance. Around lunchtime, grab something to eat at one of the local wine bars and start tasting some of the region's wines. If you're interested in going deeper into wine culture, you can arrange a visit to one of the prestigious châteaux outside the city (plan a few hours for this). By late afternoon, take a walk along the Garonne River to unwind before heading to your accommodation for the night.

The earth is always rumbling beneath Iceland. Today see a perfect example of nature's ability to both create and destroy. When volcano Eldfell erupted in 1973, parts of the island were covered in lava and ash, sealing them in a virtual time capsule. Walking through town, you'll see signs of the eruption and fallout. Reykjavik to South Coast
After leaving Reykjavik, you're heading down Iceland's south coast for the day. First stop is a local stable where you'll watch Icelandic horses and learn about their unique gaits. Then you'll go into the Caves of Hella to see some of Iceland's oldest archaeological sites, and you'll get to taste Icelandic whisky and local beer while you're down there. From there, the afternoon takes you to Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls for a closer look at these well-known cascades.

This morning you're boarding an amphibian vessel at Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon to get up close with the icebergs. During the boat ride, you'll taste 1,000-year-old ice and look for seals swimming around in the cold water. The tour finishes on Diamond Beach, one of the lagoon's black sand beaches covered with large chunks of ice that have washed ashore from the glacier.

Golden Circle
You're driving the Golden Circle route today, which covers some of Iceland's most iconic spots. Start at Thingvellir where Iceland's government was established in the mid 1800s and the landscape is really striking. Next comes Gullfoss, the 'Golden Waterfall,' where about 100,000 liters of glacial water drop 31 meters into the canyon every second. The day finishes at Haukadalur, a geothermal area where the Strokkur geyser shoots up about 30 meters high roughly every 8 to 10 minutes.

This evening brings a farewell dinner with the other travelers where you'll celebrate Icelandic culture and traditions together.
