Itinerary
- Day 1
Lusaka to Itezhi-Tezhi
You'll head out from Lusaka on a 326 km scenic drive through rolling hills and green landscapes, taking the M9 highway and D69 road toward Itezhi-Tezhi in southern Kafue National Park. The drive takes a few hours, so you'll have time to settle in at your lodge once you arrive. Your accommodations overlook Lake Itezhi-Tezhi, which gives you nice views to relax with after traveling. Later in the evening, there's an introduction to stargazing where you'll learn about constellations visible from Zambia.

- Day 2
Kafue National Park Wildlife and Stargazing
You'll start with breakfast, then head into the Ngoma Game Management Area inside Kafue National Park for guided wildlife viewing with stops to observe animals throughout the morning. If time allows and you're interested, the Elephant Orphanage Centre is available (voluntary donations are accepted) for lunch and interaction there, or you can continue game viewing in the Ngoma area instead. After returning to the lodge for a rest in the afternoon, you'll go back out for more exploration before dinner. The evening ends with stargazing guided by an expert who'll point out Southern Hemisphere constellations and explain what you're seeing.

Longola Hot Springs and Park Exploration
Your morning involves traveling to Iyanda Village and Longola Hot Springs just outside Kafue National Park to see local culture and natural surroundings, though swimming isn't an option there. You'll head back to the lodge by mid-morning and take a leisurely walk around the Itezhi-Tezhi area with uphill and downhill sections showing off different views of the landscape. After lunch, you'll drive into southern Kafue National Park for afternoon game viewing across varied terrain, leaving before the park closes. Dinner happens at the lodge followed by another stargazing session under the African sky.

Itezhi-Tezhi to Livingstone
You'll have an early breakfast and check out from your Itezhi-Tezhi lodge, then re-enter Kafue National Park through the Musa gate for one last scenic drive along the gravel road beside Lake Itezhi-Tezhi. The route takes you through inner loops where you can spot wildlife near the Kafue River for final memorable sightings. You'll exit around noon through the Dundumwezi gate and continue toward Kalomo for lunch. After that, the T-1 road takes you to Livingstone, where you'll be dropped at your chosen accommodation.
