Ho Chi Minh City
You'll arrive in Ho Chi Minh City and get settled at your hotel. After you rest from the flight, head out into the streets if you feel up for it. The city has this interesting mix of modern high-rises and traditional markets all packed together, so there's plenty to wander through on foot.

Ho Chi Minh City
This morning you're heading to Cu Chi Tunnels for a half-day tour. The tunnels are this complex underground network left from the Vietnam War, and you'll walk through them to see how people survived down there. You can try manioc while you're there, and if you want, there's a shooting range where you can fire some vintage rifles.

Ho Chi Minh City to Cai Be
You'll travel to Cai Be in the Mekong Delta, passing through rice paddies and fruit orchards along the way. Once there, you'll cycle to Tan Phong Island to check out artisans making traditional goods by hand. After that, you'll take a rowboat down the canals, join a cooking class, and finish with dinner at a restaurant right on the river.

Cai Be to Ho Chi Minh City
Start early at Cai Be floating market to see how vendors buy and sell produce and handicrafts on the water. Then you'll head to Dong Hoa Hiep village to see traditional wooden houses and talk with locals. By afternoon you'll head back to Ho Chi Minh City with the rest of the day free.

Ho Chi Minh City to Hoi An
After breakfast at your hotel, you'll transfer to the airport for a domestic flight to Hoi An, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once you check in, spend the evening walking through the atmospheric streets. The town is famous for its glowing lanterns, old architecture that's hundreds of years old, and cafes right along the river.

Hoi An
You're cycling through the countryside today past rice fields and water buffalo to reach Tra Que Organic Vegetable Village. There you'll learn traditional farming methods and plant some vegetables yourself. You'll get a foot massage, take a cooking class focused on crispy pancakes, then enjoy lunch made from what the farm produces before cycling back.

Hoi An to Hanoi

Hanoi to Pu Luong Nature Reserve
You're leaving Hanoi this morning for a 4-hour drive to Pu Luong Nature Reserve. The route follows the historic Ho Chi Minh Trail and has great mountain views the whole way. Lunch is waiting when you arrive, then you'll check out the Cham River to see bamboo water wheels and take a bamboo raft ride through the landscape.

Pu Luong Nature Reserve
Your day starts with a guided trek through rice terraces and villages with local farmers showing you around. You'll pass ponds, rivers, and fields as you walk. There's a picnic lunch at a scenic spot, and afterward you can cool off with a swim in a nearby river before heading back to the eco-lodge.

Pu Luong Nature Reserve to Hanoi

Once you're in Hanoi, the evening is yours to spend however you like. Try some local food at neighborhood eateries or take a walk around Hoan Kiem Lake.

Hanoi to Halong Bay
You're heading out early to Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its limestone rock formations and green water. You'll board a traditional junk boat for the day and spend time kayaking, swimming, and poking around hidden coves. Dinner is seafood on the boat while you watch the sunset.

Halong Bay to Hanoi
Get up early for Tai Chi on the boat's sundeck as the sun rises. After breakfast, you'll visit a big cave with stalactites and stalagmites hanging from the ceiling. Then you'll sail back to the harbor and return to Hanoi by afternoon, leaving your evening open to relax in the city.

- Day 13
Hanoi Departure
Your last morning in Hanoi is unscheduled. You can shop for souvenirs, grab a bowl of pho, or just take it easy before heading to the airport. Later you'll transfer to Noi Bai International Airport for your departure flight.
