Itinerary
- Day 1
Nuremberg
You'll arrive in Nuremberg and have the rest of the day to explore this historic city at your own pace. If you're into seasonal markets, the Christkindlmarket is a big draw here, and you can definitely grab some local gingerbread and bratwurst while you're wandering around. There are also cultural sites scattered throughout if that interests you, or you can just walk the charming streets and get a feel for the place. The ship leaves at 21:00, so you've got a solid chunk of daylight to work with.
Optional Activities
- Explore Nuremberg's cultural sites and museums
- Visit the Christkindlmarket
- Food and drink experiences (gingerbread, bratwurst)

- Day 2
Regensburg
You'll pull into Regensburg at 15:30, giving you the afternoon and evening to check out this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The medieval churches, towers, and patrician houses from the 13th and 14th centuries are scattered throughout the old town, so there's plenty to see just walking around. From the Danube, you'll get nice views of the city and the cathedral, which is really the focal point architecturally. Spend the evening getting oriented and grabbing dinner somewhere along the riverfront.
Optional Activities
- Walking tour of Regensburg's old town
- View Regensburg Cathedral
- Explore medieval churches and towers
- Stroll along the Danube

- Day 3
Regensburg
You've got a full day in Regensburg to see what you want without rushing. Walk through the medieval districts and look at the churches and towers that give the city its character. The patrician houses are interesting if you like seeing how wealthy merchants lived back in the day. Take time to stroll along the Danube as well, since the cathedral looks particularly good from the water. This is a good day to really get to know the place rather than just hitting the main sights.
Optional Activities
- Walking tour of Regensburg's old town
- View Regensburg Cathedral
- Explore medieval churches and towers
- Stroll along the Danube

Regensburg to Kelheim
You'll have an early morning before the ship departs at 03:00, so that's pretty much a sleeping night rather than exploring time. After you leave, you'll sail down the Danube and arrive in Kelheim at 08:00. This small old town has some character and history to discover on foot. The wine scene here is worth your time, so either stop by a local wine bar, try a rustic wine tavern, or if you're interested, join an actual tasting session with a winemaker. The steep vineyard slopes surrounding the town are also worth a look if you want some photos or a walk.
Optional Activities
- Wine tasting session with a winemaker
- Visit wine bars and rustic wine taverns
- Tour of steep vineyard slopes
- Explore Kelheim's old town

- Day 5

After cruising the Moselle and Rhine, you'll arrive in Nuremberg at 11:00. Spend the afternoon and evening here checking out the cultural side of the city. There's Wagner history if you're into that, and Dürer's heritage is significant here too. The Christkindlmarket might still be running depending on the season, and the local food is definitely worth trying. There are plenty of cultural attractions beyond those, so just pick what appeals to you and go from there.

- Visit the Christkindlmarket
- Food and drink experiences (gingerbread, bratwurst)
