  Our cruise was delayed for 3 days. Cruise was from 9/21/25-9/28/25. We were on board the ship on 9/21/25 but didnt leave the port till 9/24/25 pm… they said due to some mechanical issue.we were stucked in the boat on embarkation port for 3 nights. And this was our first river cruise… what a bad experience.Show more

  Really enjoyed our time on A Rosa Luna, the crew were 1st rate and so accommodating. Cabins are very comfortable and food was abundant and of high quality. We opted for 2 shore excursions both of which were thoroughly enjoyable. Premium option is definitely worth it, drinks are available all dayShow more

  I had been looking forward to experiencing the French countryside and the French cuisine on board this river cruise....
  I had been looking forward to experiencing the French countryside and the French cuisine on board this river cruise. The embarkation was uneventful. From the moment we arrived all the announcements were in German. We had to go to the office to ask what the announcements were about as we only speak English and the cruise was advertised as being in English and German. The safety announcements were the ones we were disappointed to not understand. We went to the sun deck and sat under the awning. There was an announcement and siren but we did not understand and when the awning was descending we were afraid that it would crush us. When we noticed what was happening we escaped. Repeatedly I went to the office and requested that we get something in English that described the safety procedures. Rob the DJ said he would get us something for us several times but failed to do so. I even emailed Tourradar to get some help but that did not help us. Then Monica arrived on the ship and she was very good and her announcements were in English. The food was awful. It was not French but using thick sauces and I think the cuisine was Austrian. This should have been advertised as I would not have joined this cruise. The staff were friendly and I am happy for this aspect of our cruise. This is overpriced for what we received and I will not recommend this company to anyone.Show more

Unfortunately, in 2022 the A-ROSA LUNA is non of A-ROSA's international ships. The official languages on board our national ships is only German and the ship announcements and all written information is not provided in English. However, it should be possible for our English-speaking guests to communicate in English with our staff at any time. We will take this point of criticism as an opportunity to continue to train our staff on board in the English language even more intensively. It might be interesting to know that in 2023 we will welcome our international guest on all of A-ROSA's 13 vessels in the fleet. As all documents, announcements, signage and entertainment as well as our crew will be international in 2023. We understand from your comments that the selection and preparation of the meals did not meet your expectations in part. In fact, the food on our ships is expressly praised. An important part of the A-ROSA concept is to offer freshly prepared and high-quality food. If we have not met your taste with our choice of food and its preparation, we are extremely sorry. Our culinary offer is freshly prepared every day from the best ingredients, which is one of the maxims of the A-ROSA concept. Of course, every chef prepares his dishes with an individual touch and will be happy to fulfil an individual request on request. Our chefs, the respective Maître and the responsible hotel manager are happy to listen to such concerns. Please continue to feel welcome at A-ROSA and rest assured that we do everything in our power to ensure relaxing and smooth river cruises.
