- Day 1
Madrid
You'll arrive in Madrid and get transferred from the airport to your hotel. Take time to settle in and rest for a bit. Later in the evening, a transfer takes you to Plaza Mayor and La Latina, where you can wander around this lively neighborhood. There's plenty of dining options available, and you'll pay for your meal separately.

Madrid

You'll also walk through Retiro Park to check out the lake and Crystal Palace. Admission to Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, home of Real Madrid, is included. - Day 3
Madrid - Mérida - Évora - Lisbon
You'll head out from Madrid toward Mérida in Extremadura to see the Roman Theatre and Amphitheatre complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Time for lunch is built in at the historic center. After that, you continue to Évora in Portugal, another World Heritage Site with its distinctive white streets, Renaissance palaces, and cathedral. By evening you'll reach Lisbon.

In the evening, a transfer takes you to Restauradores Square where you can choose from dining and nightlife options at your expense.

Travel north to Fátima, an important pilgrimage site, then continue on to Porto, Portugal's second-largest city. After lunch, you'll take a 50-minute cruise on a traditional Portuguese Rabelo boat along the Douro River to see the city from the water. You'll then have free time to explore the medieval Ribeira district with its narrow streets, old merchant houses, and cafés before heading to your hotel.

- Day 6
Porto - Braga - Cambados - Santiago de Compostela
Head through nice landscapes to Braga where you'll ride the world's oldest water-operated cable car up to the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus with its great views, and you can walk down the picturesque staircase. Later, you move into Galicia to visit the historic town of Cambados in Rías Baixas. There you'll take a glass-bottom boat trip along the Ría de Arousa learning about mussel and oyster farming, with wine and mussel tasting included. By lunchtime you'll arrive in Santiago de Compostela for a city tour led by a local guide exploring medieval streets and pilgrimage sites.

Travel along the Way of St. James starting in Lugo where you'll see the historic town center and its Roman walls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll stop at O Cebreiro, a charming Galician stone village, then continue to León arriving at lunchtime to visit the Gothic cathedral known for its stained-glass windows and explore the town. After crossing the Cantabrian Range into Asturias, you'll reach Oviedo by evening for a city tour with a local guide covering the 9th-century cathedral, Calatrava Congressional Palace, Campoamor Theatre, and Calle de la Rua. Travel to the Picos de Europa starting with a visit to the Basilica of Covadonga. Follow the coastline to Santillana, one of Spain's most beautiful towns with its intact medieval quarter. You'll see the nearby Altamira Cave Museum with admission included. Later, head to Santander, the region's capital and a coastal city with nice views of mountains and beaches.
