    You'll arrive in Madrid and get transferred from the airport to your hotel. Take time to settle in and rest for a bit. Later in the evening, a transfer takes you to Plaza Mayor and La Latina, where you can wander around this lively neighborhood.     Madrid - Mérida - Évora - Lisbon

    You'll head out from Madrid toward Mérida in Extremadura to see the Roman Theatre and Amphitheatre complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Time for lunch is built in at the historic center. After that, you continue to Évora in Portugal, another World Heritage Site with its distinctive white streets, Renaissance palaces, and cathedral. By evening you'll reach Lisbon.

    Head through nice landscapes to Braga where you'll ride the world's oldest water-operated cable car up to the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus with its great views, and you can walk down the picturesque staircase. Later, you move into Galicia to visit the historic town of Cambados in Rías Baixas. There you'll take a glass-bottom boat trip along the Ría de Arousa learning about mussel and oyster farming, with wine and mussel tasting included. By lunchtime you'll arrive in Santiago de Compostela for a city tour led by a local guide exploring medieval streets and pilgrimage sites.

    There were too many rotating things during the tour. Routing group members, roommates, etc. There were parts of the tour that were a waste of time and could have provided that time on something more useful/interesting.
