- Option 3: Ambergate to Crich (12 miles, 1,400 feet ascent) - start from Ambergate in Derwent Valley, ascend wooded valley side to Crich Stand, continue over rolling hills to Cromford

- Option 2: Dovedale & Tissington (9.5 miles, 1,300 feet ascent) - follow river through Dovedale to Milldale, climb to Shining Tor, return via villages of Alsop-en-le-Dale and Tissington
- Option 3: Dovedale & Villages of the White Peak (11 miles, 1,650 feet ascent) - outward route through villages of Tissington, Parwich and Alsop-en-le-Dale, steep descent into Dovedale, follow valley back to stepping stones, optional climb of Thorpe Cloud for views

- Option 2: Hollinsclough to Hartington via Hitter Hill (9 miles, 1,500 feet ascent) - contour Hollins Hill beneath Axe Edge and Leap Edge, swing north up Dowel Dale, ascend Hitter Hill, head to Pilsbury Castle, cross River Dove, ascend Sheen Hill ridgeline for panoramic views over Manifold Valley
- Option 3: Hollinsclough to Hartington via Chrome Hill and Dowel Dale (10.5 miles, 1,850 feet ascent) - contour Hollins Hill beneath Axe Edge and Leap Edge, climb rocky spine of Chrome Hill known as Dragon's Back of Derbyshire, swing north up Dowel Dale, ascend Hitter Hill, visit Pilsbury Castle, ascend Sheen Hill ridgeline for panoramic views
