    • Chatsworth House - 17th century mansion home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, set in over 1,000 acres of parkland and formal gardens with 30+ rooms including State Rooms, Sculpture Gallery, and Painted Hall
    • Crich Tramway Village - recreated Edwardian-style village with National Tramway Museum, woodland walk, sculpture trail, and collection of 60+ trams from 1873-1982 (approximately 45 minutes drive)
    • Buxton - England's highest market spa town at 1,000 feet above sea level; visit Devonshire Dome building, Edwardian Opera House, and Poole's Cavern natural limestone cave
    • Castleton - village at head of Hope Valley featuring Blue John semi-precious stone and show caves: Peak Cavern, Blue John Cavern, Speedwell Cavern, and Treak Cliff Cavern
    • Bakewell - market town on River Wye banks with honey-coloured stone houses, specialist markets, Lovellock Bridge, and famous summer carnival reputed as Derbyshire's biggest

    • Option 2: Dovedale & Tissington (9.5 miles, 1,300 feet ascent) - follow river through Dovedale to Milldale, climb to Shining Tor, return via villages of Alsop-en-le-Dale and Tissington
    • Option 3: Dovedale & Villages of the White Peak (11 miles, 1,650 feet ascent) - outward route through villages of Tissington, Parwich and Alsop-en-le-Dale, steep descent into Dovedale, follow valley back to stepping stones, optional climb of Thorpe Cloud for views

    • Option 2: Hollinsclough to Hartington via Hitter Hill (9 miles, 1,500 feet ascent) - contour Hollins Hill beneath Axe Edge and Leap Edge, swing north up Dowel Dale, ascend Hitter Hill, head to Pilsbury Castle, cross River Dove, ascend Sheen Hill ridgeline for panoramic views over Manifold Valley
    • Option 3: Hollinsclough to Hartington via Chrome Hill and Dowel Dale (10.5 miles, 1,850 feet ascent) - contour Hollins Hill beneath Axe Edge and Leap Edge, climb rocky spine of Chrome Hill known as Dragon's Back of Derbyshire, swing north up Dowel Dale, ascend Hitter Hill, visit Pilsbury Castle, ascend Sheen Hill ridgeline for panoramic views
