Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Hanoi
You'll touch down at Hanoi airport and get transferred to your hotel, where check-in opens around 2 pm. From there, the afternoon and evening are completely yours to spend however you'd like. Head into the Old Quarter if you're up for it, or grab some street food and take things slow after your flight. No set plans, just time to get your bearings in the city.

- Day 2
Hanoi to Halong Bay
After breakfast, you're heading out to Halong Bay with stops to see rice farmers working their fields along the way. You'll board a junk and spend about 4 hours cruising through the bay with its thousands of islands, grab lunch on the boat, take in the views from the deck, and get out to explore one of the islands on foot. The drive back to Hanoi takes most of the late afternoon, so you'll arrive at your hotel with time to wind down.

Hanoi City Tour to Hoi An
Morning starts with a city tour hitting the Presidential Palace and One Pillar Pagoda in the Ho Chi Minh district, then over to the Old Quarter for the Temple of Literature and those narrow alleyways packed with specialty shops. You'll stop at Cafe Giang, the famous coffee spot from 1946. After lunch, you're transferred to Hanoi airport for your flight to Danang, then driven to your Hoi An hotel where you'll arrive in the evening.

- Day 4
Hoi An to Hue and Return
Today you're traveling to Hue to see the imperial tombs, starting with Emperor Minh Mang's massive 40-building complex with palaces, temples and pavilions spread across the landscape. You'll check out Thien Mu Pagoda, Hue's oldest pagoda with nice river views, and head back to the city by boat for lunch at a local spot (you're paying separately). In the afternoon, walk through the imperial city inspired by Beijing's Forbidden City design, visit Dong Ba market, then drive back over Hai Van Pass with mountain and lagoon views. You'll have the rest of the evening free in Hoi An.

- Day 5
Hoi An
After breakfast, you're biking around Hoi An's countryside through rice terraces to a village where families make traditional lanterns by hand. A local family will walk you through how it's done and let you create your own. Later in the afternoon, walk through the old town and see its narrow streets, the blend of British, French, Portuguese and Chinese architectural styles, a traditional merchant family house, Hoi An Museum, the Chinese Assembly Hall and the Japanese Bridge.
