Kathmandu
You'll arrive in Kathmandu and meet your company representative at the airport. After transferring to your hotel and checking in, you'll have time to freshen up. Take a walk around Thamel to get a feel for the evening scene, then your guide will walk through the trek routes and what to expect over the coming days.

Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding
Early morning flight to Lukla takes about 30 to 35 minutes with incredible aerial views of the Himalayan range, valleys, and rivers below. You'll meet your porter team and start trekking to Phakding. The route takes you through dense forests past local settlements where you'll spin prayer wheels, cross suspension bridges, and walk through Chheplung village on the descent.

Phakding to Namche Bazaar
Head upstream along the riverbank toward the junction where the Bhote Koshi and Dudh Koshi Rivers meet. After crossing the Hillary Bridge, you'll ascend toward Namche Bazaar. This section offers great photo opportunities as Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and Taweche come into view for the first time on your trek.

Namche Bazaar (Acclimatization Day)
This is your acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar, so stay active without pushing too hard. Do some light vertical trekking or walk around town to check out the lodges, tea shops, souvenir shops, and restaurants. You can visit the Visitor Center near Sagarmatha National Park headquarters or head out to Khumjung monastery and Hillary School if you want more exploration.

Namche Bazaar to Deboche
A moderate trek with ups and downs that gives you splendid views of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. You'll pass through villages and forests where you might spot musk deer, Himalayan Thar, and colorful pheasants. The route takes you through valleys and past monasteries as you head toward Deboche.

Deboche to Dingboche
A fairly easy day overall, though the final climb is steep. You'll walk through the villages of Somare and Orsho, then take the left trail heading toward Pheriche. After crossing a bridge, the trail climbs steeply up to Dingboche Village at 4,410 meters. That final push reminds you how altitude changes the physical demands of trekking.

Dingboche (Acclimatization Day)
You're spending this day at Dingboche to acclimatize, but staying active is important. Trek to Chhukung and Island Peak if you want high-altitude views, or take a shorter walk to Nangkartshang Gompa. Another option is climbing Chukhung Ri to see Mount Makalu, the world's fifth highest mountain.

Dingboche to Lobuche
From Dingboche, head to Dughla Village then cross the steep moraine at the base of the Khumbu Glacier. Navigation gets trickier here with boulder-covered slopes underfoot. You'll ascend to Chupki Lhara where prayer flags and stones honor climbers Scott Fischer and Babu Chiri Sherpa. The massive peaks around you include Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori, and Mahalangur Himal.

Lobuche to Kala Patthar to Gorak Shep
Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep across rough terrain, which takes roughly 2 hours. You'll stop for lunch and rest before continuing. Later in the afternoon, hike up a fairly steep trail viewing peaks like Lingtren, Khumbutse, and Changtse. Reach Kala Patthar summit for outstanding views of Mount Everest and the surrounding peaks before heading back to Gorak Shep for the night.

Gorak Shep to Everest Base Camp
Start early to catch the sunrise views of Mount Everest from Kala Patthar. Then trek to Everest Base Camp, which isn't technically difficult but involves glacier paths and rough terrain. You'll walk on ice viewing melt patterns and rounded ice towers on the upper Khumbu Glacier. At base camp you'll see incredible views of Nuptse, Khumbutse, and Pumori, then spend the night at the tented camp.

- Day 11
Everest Base Camp to Pheriche
Begin your descent on the same trail, heading back from Everest Base Camp to Gorak Shep and then continuing toward Pheriche. You'll cross the Khumbu Glacier and the glistening Khumbu River. Pass through Lobuche and Duglha while descending to lower altitude. As you go down, breathing gets easier and temperatures rise, which feels noticeably different from the upper sections.

- Day 12
Pheriche to Namche Bazaar
Make your way back to Namche Bazaar through pleasant valleys and pasturelands. The descent to lower altitude means breathing becomes easier and you'll feel the temperature warming up. Walk through Tengboche and Monjo valley with views of Ama Dablam. The hillsides are covered with rhododendrons and juniper trees, and you might see wildlife like colorful pheasants, mountain goats, and occasionally snow leopards.

The trail descends steeply through Sherpa villages and forest as you head toward Lukla. You'll follow the Tenzing Hillary suspension bridge and walk along the banks of Dudh Koshi River, crossing multiple suspension bridges along the way. Pass through forests and small villages, then reach Lukla where you can explore the bazaar and shop for local items before celebrating your successful trek with your crew.

Lukla to Kathmandu
Early morning scenic flight from Tenzing Hillary Airport back to Kathmandu takes about 35 minutes, flying over clouds and the Khumbu region. Once you land, transfer to your hotel so you can rest after the long trek. In the evening, gather together for a farewell dinner to celebrate completing your Everest Base Camp journey.
