Itinerary
- Day 1
Berlin
Your German adventure begins with a welcome meeting at 6 pm in Berlin. If you're arriving early, the Spree River is nice for a walk, or you can check out the museums at Kulturforum Potsdamer Platz and the Berliner Dom Cathedral. After the meeting, you'll have dinner with your travel companions and get a taste of Berlin's food scene.

- Day 2
Berlin
Today is yours to spend however you'd like in Berlin. The Brandenburg Gate, Berlin Wall remnants, and the Reichstag are all worth seeing. You could also climb the Berlin TV Tower, visit the Jewish Memorial or Topography of Terror, or take a bike tour around the city. Your leader will point you toward good dinner spots when evening comes.

Berlin to Dresden - Bastei
You'll take an early train to Dresden and then head to Rathen for a hike to Bastei's sandstone pinnacles, where you can see some of Germany's best views and the remains of Neurathen Castle. If hiking doesn't appeal to you, the riverside village of Rathen has its own charm, or you can stay in Dresden to explore the city's history instead.

- Day 4
Dresden to Prague
The train ride through the Labe Valley to Prague offers scenic views the whole way. Once there, your local leader takes you on an orientation walk through the Old Town to see the medieval architecture and the avant-garde Dancing House. You'll visit a Czech brewery to try some pilsner, then the afternoon is free to explore Prague Castle, St Vitus Cathedral, Golden Lane, or the Jewish Quarter.

- Day 5
Prague
You have the full day to explore Prague and its artistic heritage. Consider a day trip to Kutna Hora to see the Church of Santa Barbara and the Sedlec ossuary with its 40,000 to 70,000 skeletons. Try traditional Czech snacks, wander through old vaulted cellars, and later check out the city's nightlife with everything from dance clubs and beer halls to jazz clubs and absinthe bars.

Prague to Bratislava
You're heading to Bratislava, Slovakia's capital along the Danube. The day is free to explore at your own pace. Climb Michael's Gate or the UFO Tower for views, visit the Bratislava City Museum, or search for the city's quirky statues around town. Your leader can point you toward local specialties like kapustnica when you're ready to eat.

Bratislava to Budapest
After breakfast, you'll travel to Budapest with the rest of the day free. Walk through Buda Castle or the winding medieval streets of the Castle District, or take an afternoon cruise on the Danube to see the Parliament Building and the bridges connecting Buda and Pest. You'll end the day with dinner and your fellow travelers.

Budapest
A second welcome meeting happens at 6 pm for new group members. Before then, you can explore the grand architecture and boulevards, browse local markets for langos, visit Statue Park to learn about the city's past, or soak in one of the thermal bath complexes. After the meeting, join a group dinner, explore the Jewish Quarter, or check out the famous ruin bars.

Budapest to Vienna
You're traveling to Vienna by train this morning. After dropping your bags, your group heads to Vollpension, a local cafe where you'll have coffee and cake. The staff are friendly and the cafe supports older community members through employment, creating a warm environment to chat and settle in together.

Vienna
The day is yours to spend in Vienna. Art lovers can visit the Albertina, Leopold, Kunsthalle Wien, or Museum of Modern Art. The Belvedere Palace has Gustav Klimt's 'The Kiss'. You could also explore the colorful Hundertwasserhaus, the Secession building, St Stephen's Cathedral, the neo-classical Graben, or wander through Hofburg Palace and the State Opera House.

Vienna to Salzburg
This morning you're taking a train to Salzburg, an Austrian city on the German border backed by the Eastern Alps and divided by the Salzach River. You have the full day to explore from the Old City to the New City. Check out Mirabell Palace and Gardens, visit Mozart's birthplace, walk the medieval fortress walls, or find a viewpoint for photos of the city with mountains and fortress.

Salzburg to Bled
You're heading to Bled, Slovenia's mountain resort town, by train this morning. Grab a window seat for the scenic Alpine journey, including a tunnel crossing at about 1,300 meters with mountain views all around. Once there, your leader takes you to Lake Bled's shore. The afternoon is free to explore, sample Bled cake at local cafes, and you'll have a group dinner later.

Bled
Today is free to enjoy Bled's nature activities. You could do a full-day adventure around Triglav Massive with rafting, caving, canoeing, or swimming. Rent a bike to ride to Vintgar Gorge for a natural canyon walk, or visit Bled Castle perched on the cliff. Take a pletna boat to the island to ring the wishing bell, or just relax by the lake with a book.

- Day 14
Bled to Venice
You're traveling to Venice this morning, and it's a longer journey so bring a book or podcasts. Venice sits across about a hundred small islands connected by 400 bridges. Your leader takes you on an orientation walk through the city on foot, passing the Grand Canal, Rialto Bridge, Doge's Palace, Piazza San Marco, and Bridge of Sighs. You'll end the day with Italian cuisine and wine with your group.

This is your last day and there are no planned activities. You're free to leave after checkout whenever you'd like. Venice's canals are best explored on foot, so if you want to stay longer, talk to your booking agent about extending your trip.
