Itinerary
- Day 1
Cashapampa to Llama Corral
You'll drive through farming communities nestled between the Cordillera Negra and Cordillera Blanca mountain ranges, heading toward Cashapampa. Once there, you'll get your pack animals organized and sorted before starting your hike with daypacks. The trek takes you to Llama Corral base camp, where you'll settle in for your first night at altitude.

- Day 2
Trek to Santa Cruz Lakes Base Camp
From Llama Corral, you'll trek past the Santa Cruz Lakes and continue into the hanging valley below Alpamayo. The route takes you higher as you approach base camp, which sits right at the treeline. You'll arrive here to acclimate and start preparing for the climbing days ahead.

Landmarks Santa Cruz Lakes Alpamayo - Day 3
Establish Moraine Camp
This morning you'll carry equipment up to moraine camp at the glacier's edge, then return to base camp after storing your gear safely. Later, cook Teo prepares a special feast to help you fuel up properly. The extra calories and rest are important before summit prep begins.

Landmarks Alpamayo Glacier - Day 4
Move to Moraine Camp
You'll head up to moraine camp and arrive while there's still daylight to take in the views from this high camp. Eating well this evening matters since tomorrow's going to be demanding. You'll rest here and mentally prepare for what comes next.

Landmarks Alpamayo Moraine Camp - Day 5
Climb to Col Camp
Moving onto the glacier, you'll climb toward Col Camp across fissured terrain. The route includes multiple ice and neve pitches, and you'll need to manage your backpack weight carefully. Once you reach Col Camp, one of the world's highest camps, the Southwest face catches the alpenglow in spectacular fashion.

Landmarks Alpamayo Glacier - Day 6
Summit Alpamayo
Today is your summit attempt on Alpamayo. You'll cross the steep glacier and negotiate the bergshrund before tackling 6 to 9 pitches of two-tool ice and neve on the Southwest Face. After reaching the summit, you'll descend the same route back down to high camp.

Landmarks Alpamayo - Day 7
Trek to Cashapampa and Return to Huaraz
You'll traverse down from high camp to Cashapampa, completing the technical portion of your expedition. Private transportation meets you there for the drive back to Huaraz, bringing your climbing adventure to a close.
