Haka Tours was definitely the right choice for my trip to New Zealand as what I would have expected to be a cool trip where the guide might be nice and I might find one or two new friends turned out to be the best trip of my life

Amazing trip, Mikey was incredible, knew everything that was happening, solved any problems that came up and went above and beyond every time. We had some interesting challenges on our tour, from a 50 year old deaf Singaporean legend, to earthquakes and Tsunami warning evacuations. And nothing ever stopped us from having an amazing time and going with the flow. Would recommend Haka and Mike to anyone and everyone. James

Best tour guide around! Had the most incredible 6 weeks being shown around stunning New Zealand with this legend! Skiing for 6 weeks - helped improve my technique and confidence. Just an all round top guy and loves his home country!

This was an unbelievable trip from start to finish! I'm so happy I chose to go with Haka Tours because they travel the way I like to travel; lots of stops and fun spontaneous activities along the way. The small group size meant we didn't feel like the traditional tourist stomping from place to place, instead I felt we could be more authentic and get to know each location a bit better. The accommodations were all great, I've never stayed in a backpackers/hostel before but it definitely exceeded my expectations and the Haka lodges with their added "luxuries" of a personal wall outlet by each bed and curtain around each bed made my stay there that much more comfortable. Our tour guide Burto was so energetic and fun. He had amazing food recommendations for every location and was so knowledgeable about New Zealand plant life, history and culture. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to travel to book with Haka. You won't regret it, and if you are debating between the 24 or 16 day tour, definitely do the 24. Of all the incredible places we saw, I still think the first 3 days at the Bay of Islands and the last 4 at Punakaiki and Abel Tasman were my favourites.

WOW Alessia, the photo of the Dolphins. It looks as though you made the most of your time in New Zealand. Burto has so many amazing little facts up his sleeve about NZ but it is also guests like you that makes a tour - great people, great times!
