  1. Day 1

    Klaipėda

    You'll arrive in Klaipėda and head to your hotel on your own since the transfer isn't included. After checking in, you can relax and grab dinner at the hotel if you'd like, or explore the area nearby.

  2. Day 2

    Seaside Regional Park - Palanga

    Meet your guide at 9:00 a.m. and take a minivan to Seaside Regional Park to start hiking along the coast toward Palanga. You'll pass the Dutchman's Cap, a 24-meter cliff with views of the Baltic Sea. Once in Palanga, there's time to check out the Botanical Park, Amber Museum, or walk the J.Basanavicius pedestrian street with shops and cafes. The 470-meter pier is also worth a look. Later, head back to Klaipėda by public bus.

    Curonian Lagoon - Ventė Cape

    A minivan takes you inland where you'll hike along country roads and forest trails toward the Curonian Lagoon. You'll walk through Nemunas River delta Regional Park, following the Minija River past Minija village, known locally as the Venice of Lithuania because the houses sit on both sides of the river with no bridges between them. By evening you'll reach your hotel at Ventė Cape on the lagoon.

    Nida

    Start the day hiking to Ventė Cape to visit the ornithology museum and bird ringing station, then climb the 19th century lighthouse for views of the lagoon and sand dunes. Over a million birds migrate through here annually, making it a great spot for birdwatching. In the evening, take a boat across to Nida and walk through the resort village to check into your hotel.

    You have the day free in Nida, a former fishing village with the Baltic Sea on one side and the Curonian Lagoon on the other. Walk through the sand dunes to reach white sand beaches for swimming, or visit attractions like the Fisherman's House, Thomas Mann's summer house, or the Amber Gallery. Come back to the hotel whenever you'd like for dinner.

    Dead Dunes

    A minivan takes you to the Dead dunes where you hike through Nagliai nature reserve. This landscape is unusual, with steep sand dunes and hollows formed when four villages were buried in sand centuries ago. You can finish in Pervalka or Preila, passing birdwatching towers along the way. If you're up for more, there's an optional 13 km hike back to Nida that includes climbing Vecekrugas Dune at 67 meters, then return by bus.

    Klaipėda

    Take a public bus to Juodkrantė and hike a loop route through natural and cultural sites on the spit. You'll start at Amber Bay, walk through primeval forest, then explore the Hill of Witches with its wooden sculptures of Lithuanian legends. An acid forest shaped by one of Europe's largest cormorant colonies is also on the route. In the afternoon there's time to relax at local restaurants or swim at the beach. Later, take a speed boat back to Klaipėda (or choose a minivan transfer instead).
