- Day 1
Rome
You'll arrive in Rome before noon, giving you time to settle in before heading out for an afternoon of sightseeing. The tour includes skip-the-line access to the Colosseum, so you can move right through without waiting around. Later this evening, there's a welcome dinner planned to kick things off.

- Day 2
Rome
This day is dedicated to Rome's most iconic spots on a guided tour. After that, you'll head to the Vatican for another guided tour where you'll see Michelangelo's frescoes in the Sistine Chapel. It's a full day of major historical sites, so you'll want to wear comfortable shoes.

Rome to Sorrento
You'll travel to Pompeii in the morning and walk through the ancient Roman city. From there, the route continues to Sorrento where you'll arrive by afternoon. Something special has been arranged for this evening, so check with your guide about timing and details.

Capri
A boat takes you to the Isle of Capri early on. You'll ride the funicular train up to the hilltop for views of the coastline and surrounding area. The Blue Grotto is on the agenda too, where you can see the electric blue water in this sea cave (assuming weather cooperates). Later in the day, you'll pick which activity you'd prefer for the remaining time.

- Day 5
Sorrento to Perugia
You'll visit the Basilica of St Francis of Assisi, the main church for the Franciscan order. After spending time there, you'll continue traveling to Perugia, arriving by late afternoon or early evening depending on the drive.

- Day 6
Perugia to Florence
The day starts in the walled town of San Gimignano where you'll have a Tuscan lunch with locally-made olive oils, fresh antipasti, and regional wines. From there, you head to Florence, arriving in time to settle into your hotel. The evening is free, so you can walk around and get your bearings in the city.

Florence
You'll start at the Galleria dell'Accademia to see Michelangelo's Statue of David, then continue on a guided tour of Florence hitting the major sights. By afternoon, you'll have free time to wander on your own, check out neighborhoods you want to revisit, or grab a coffee and just sit and watch the city go by.

Florence to Rapallo
A stop in Pisa gives you time to see the Leaning Tower and the Piazza dei Miracoli. Then you'll head to Portofino, known for its colorful harbor and upscale coastal atmosphere. You'll arrive in Rapallo, a quieter coastal town where there's a 16th-century castle overlooking the sea from high above.

- Day 9
Cinque Terre
You're spending the entire day in Cinque Terre, a UNESCO World Heritage site with five medieval villages built into steep cliffs. Each village connects via hiking trails or boat, and they're all quite different from one another. The terraced construction into the cliffs is pretty distinctive, and there are plenty of spots to grab lunch and take in the views.

Rapallo to Venice
After finishing up a signature experience (details vary by tour), you'll head to Venice. Once you arrive, you'll get the full treatment with boat transfers directly to your hotel rather than dealing with regular transportation. It's a nice way to enter the city.

Venice
Today is yours to explore Venice however you'd like. You can choose to take a guided tour or wander on your own through the canals and piazzas. Whether you visit St Mark's Basilica, walk across the Rialto Bridge, or just get lost in the side streets, you're setting your own pace here.

Venice to Zagreb
You'll travel through Ljubljana on the way to Zagreb, arriving in the Croatian capital by late afternoon or early evening. A farewell dinner is scheduled for tonight, so you'll have a chance to reflect on the trip with your group.

- Day 13
Zagreb to Budapest
This morning includes a guided tour of Zagreb to see the highlights of the city. After lunch, you'll say goodbye to Croatia and travel to Budapest, the Hungarian capital. The drive takes several hours, so you'll arrive by evening.

Departure
