Your chauffeur meets you at Sydney airport and takes you to your hotel. The day is open, so you can head to the Botanical Gardens, check out the Opera House, or walk through the city center at your own pace.

Sydney
Your driver-guide picks you up in the morning for a full day of Sydney's landmarks. Start at Mrs. Macquarie's Point for views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, then take a cruise through Sydney Harbour with lunch included. The afternoon is free for you to explore more of the city.

Blue Mountains
Head west to Featherdale Wildlife Park to see Australian wildlife, then continue into the Blue Mountains for a walk down to Princess Lookout at Wentworth Falls. After lunch at a traditional restaurant, you'll visit The Three Sisters rock formation at Echo Point and finish at Govetts Leap viewpoint before returning to Sydney.

A three-hour flight takes you from Sydney to Alice Springs in the red heart of Australia. Your driver-guide meets you and transfers you to your hotel. The afternoon is yours to either relax or get a first look at the town.

Alice Springs
Start with a city tour of Alice Springs and the ANZAC Hill viewpoint. From there, visit the historic telegraph station where the town began, then head to Simpsons Gap in Western MacDonnells National Park for a walk to a waterhole. Continue to Ellery Creek Big Hole and hike through Ormiston Gorge before heading back to Alice Springs.

Alice Springs to Watarrka National Park
After breakfast, drive through desert landscapes to Watarrka National Park west of Alice Springs. In the afternoon (or morning depending on the season), you'll do a three-hour hike across the canyon plateau from the Abandoned City sandstone domes to the Garden of Eden oasis.

Watarrka to Uluru
Journey across red sand dunes to Uluru National Park and check in. Drive to Kata-Tjuta (Olgas) for a two-hour hike through the 36 stone domes (either Valley of the Winds or Walpa Gorge based on season). Then drive to Uluru to watch the sunset, which is great for photos.

Uluru

Uluru to Cairns
After breakfast, head to the airport for a three-hour flight to Cairns on the east coast. Your driver-guide meets you and takes you directly to the Atherton Tablelands. The rest of the day is free to relax.

Atherton Tablelands
After breakfast, visit the 12,000-year-old Eacham crater lake for a walk or a dip. Head downhill along the waterfall route past Millaa Millaa waterfall, then explore Mount Hypipamee Crater. Later, visit Herberton Open Air Museum with over 60 original buildings, tour fruit and coffee plantations, and finish at a bat hospital.

Daintree Rainforest
Drive through fertile fields, dry savannah forests, and wetlands down a steep road to the coast and dense rainforest. Take a boat trip on the mighty Daintree River where crocodiles and exotic rainforest animals might appear. After docking, explore the oldest tropical rainforest on your own, a UNESCO conservation site.

Mossman Gorge to Cairns
Your guide takes you to Mossman Gorge where an Aboriginal guide leads a Dreamtime Walk, sharing stories about Australian indigenous culture and history. From there, travel back to Cairns along one of the world's most spectacular coastal roads.

Great Barrier Reef

Kuranda
Ride the Skyrail cable car over rainforest treetops up to the mountain village of Kuranda. Check out the decorated railroad station and browse market stalls at the rainforest edge. Descend by minibus or optionally on a historic train with pickup at the station.
