Great trip with a lovely CEO - Minea. Some updates of the itinerary needed and also some planning improvements especially at the beach. Instead of having snorkeling and Koh Rong as either-or options, it could have been arranged that both activities were doable in 2 days. Fireflies boat tour was nothing for me (boring) or the dance evening in Siem Reap (a bit boring and slow for my taste and the dinner was not great either). Killing fields/Prison made the biggest impact on me and the Angkor Wat was just perfect. Overall, the tour was up to the expectations and I had a lovely time exploring the country with a super nice group.

This was a interesting tour and we had a great guide and a fun group. The tour itself was a bit disappointing at times. Some of the places visited (Kambong Cham for instance) did not offer much interesting or unjusual things to do.

I absolutely loved my trip in Cambodia, it was a very small group of just 7 of us and our group leader. I feel like I got to see so many places in the amount of time that we had. I have found with G adventures that for the price you pay not a lot of activities are included in comparison to other companies. However, it seems that classic tours like this do have more included than the yolo tours and so there was more included and we were lucky to have our amazing guide, Sarou, who really showed so much enthusiasm for his job and his country. When optional activities were available he never failed to disappoint and knew exactly what we'd be interested in. Sarou really made this trip special for us all, with such a contagious laugh and smile and such a wealth of knowledge and love for Cambodia. Cambodia is an absolutely beautiful country and being able to experience it on a personal level, meeting local people and learning about their history is the way to go. I would highly recommend doing this tour. Don't just go to Cambodia to see Angkor Wat and stay in a resort - go to Cambodia to fully experience it's culture and all that it has to offer. Some final notes; I thought the transportation was very good and always efficient and our driver was absolutely lovely. The hotels were very good, some were excellent for that matter. All the restaurants we went to and all the recommendations were all spot on. Cannot fault this trip

The trip itself has met my expectations, but I find it quite expensive for the few activities included(Although the program was already indicated). The hotels were comfortable, well situated and personal working there very kindly. Transportation: The Van used during the trip was quite old, I expected something more comfortable for the price paid. Driver was very professional. Local guides on the activities and excursions very professionals and giving very good explanations. The guide of the Group “Bernie”, was the best part of the trip. Always ready to attend the needs of all members of the whole group, motivating and encouraging the group. He has too much patience, great knowledge of their work and the culture of the country and very helpful in all the questions and doubts occurred.

Took the G-Adventures Ultimate Cambodia in February 2017, don't let the title mislead you. The company package is Not the Ultimate Cambodia. First off the tour company depends on a local rep to set up the accommodations in each city. Granted that you pay $88/day calculated by total tour cost of $1189 +$50 tips divided over 14 days. The most expensive hotel rack rate is $30 all the way down to a surprising $8/night. The $8 hotel in Kampong Cham had rooms that were dirty, filthy bathrooms, door locks that did not work, a/c that was broken, and mediocre breakfast; 9 out of 12 in my group just walked out of the hotel and checked in to the new hotel across the street for $25. The $18 hotel in Sihanoukville had bedbugs. The FX hotel in Bangkok had sewer gases in the bathroom/shower and was located in an industrial NON-tourist area, there were no local walkable sites nor eateries(BTS Makassan). So you see the general trend here with the hotels...the local rep saves a butt load of cash by setting up the tour in these poorly chosen hotels: low star level, low reviewer points, poor reviews by multiple sites. The tour includes most breakfasts and 4 dinner meals, the guide/CEO is of no help with local meals...they tend to veer toward the humanitarian project programs in EVERY town, no suggestions in 8 of 14 towns...so use your tripadvisor "where to eat" and youtube's food bloggers to find the best places. Do not expect narrated highlights while on the bus ride. So included items in Ultimate Cambodia are: transportation, Angkor Wat Tix, Home visit meal, Irrawaddy Dolphin Boat tour, cyclo tour of Phnom Penh, Killing Fields/Torture Prison, and 2 dinners in Siem Reap. Using TripAdvisor to find local highlights, food, markets, transportation, and unfortunately hotels will make your visit to Cambodia, ULTIMATE on your own volition. Gadventures' guide in Cambodia was practically useless. You will do better by using tripadvisor, viator, tourradar, and various tour company's packages to create your own ULTIMATE Cambodia. Once you get to Siem Reap or Phnom Pehn, the local hotels will have information for transportation and can set up your entire package. Also, gadventures will take your comments and concerns, reply that they will act upon them, but then you don't really know. Also, all the free time listed is not actually there...late buses, traffic, flat tires, etc...though they list the trip as relaxing, it is relatively hectic and rushed. Do the trip yourself or pay a little more for a better experience...gadvaentures is stuck in the "backpacker's" mode of travel, no fluff, little comfort, skimming the surface of the culture.

Thanks Brad, sorry we seem to have missed the mark on a number of things here - especially the accommodation. This tour is a Standard service level, and should have comfortable tourist-class accommodations with character. You mentioned you have already been in touch, and we are working to make things better.

We toured Cambodia with a couple of days in Thailand in June 2016.Couldn't have wished for a more enjoyable, well organised, and memorable trip as we visited the beauty of Cambodia and met with local Cambodians. This aspect fo G Adventures has always appealed to us; not just "popping" into a country and visiting in a bubble...but getting close to the working people, those selling at the roadside or with a small busines down a dusty sideroad.

We travelled to Cambodia with G-Adventures in June this year. Channy Mouen was our guide and without doubt made the trip truly memorable. He had a wealth of knowledge about his country; the history, geography, culture, and cuisine, giving us a deep understanding of this marvelous land. Leaving us wanting more! Unflagging energy, enthusiasm and humour made Channy a first-rate guide.

Since you spend about 12 days in Cambodia, you really get to immerse yourself in the Khmer culture and its kind & genuine people. Transportation is all private and comfortable, and the Angkor Wat visit comes with a very knowledgeable local guide that will teach you so much about this wonder of the world. Another highlight is the included visit and meal at the Planeterra (G Adventures non profit organisation) New Hope Cambodia project. G Adventures built a vocational training restaurant within the New Hope centre. It allows people from the neighbourhood to get training in the hospitality industry for free. With the money they make from the clients eating at the restaurant (opened to the broad public), they reinvest it in the centre's School, Health Clinic and outreach program. If you asked me take that trip again, I would do it in a heartbeat.
